In the fridge there were several jars of started jam from various fruits. They didn’t want to finish eating. So I decided to spend it according to your recipe. It turned out great! I liked it more with peach jam, my husband with gooseberries. It is a pity that there was no sour jam - the dough is very sweet, the sourness would be useful, for my taste.

I made cookies twice already, I used thick apricot jam as a filling. The family liked it. Actually, what did I want to write about, that the first and second times the dough (leftovers) lay in the freezer for almost a week. For the first time, after defrosting, I added flour and cut it into rectangles, fried in a large amount of butter - they ate as soon as crutches. The second time, the leftovers were enough only for the base, the dough rises well, spread with a mixture of apple jam and apricot. We can say that the dough can be made ahead of time.

I have never tried to freeze it and have not fried it in a large amount of oil, I will have to try it. It's just that I don't have leftovers of the test.
