Fried baklava

Ingredients

For the test:
Flour
Water 250 g
Salt taste
Egg 3 pcs.
Margarine 100 g
Slaked soda 0.5 tsp
For syrup:
Water 1 tbsp.
Sugar 1.5 tbsp.
Honey 5 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • 1. Knead the dough like for noodles. Divide into 3 parts and refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll out each piece thinly. Separately, dry, roll onto a thin rolling pin and remove.
  • 2. Cut oblique slices and in the resulting rhombuses, thread the upper corner into the hole in the middle.
  • Fry in a large amount of vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown, while straightening the layers with a fork.
  • 3. Syrup: melt sugar and honey in water, bring to a boil. Dip the fried dough into boiling syrup for 2 minutes. Take out and let cool. Top with chopped walnuts.

We go to Feodosia to have a rest and that's where I take my soul away !!! Fried baklava! Last year, having arrived from another vacation, I realized that I still hadn't had enough baklava. I hung up on the Internet looking for a recipe and found it !!! Baklava turns out to be very, very tasty! But ... since only I eat baklava in the family, one portion was enough for me to get enough and this portion was enough for my pancreas too ... This year, being in Feodosia, I did not even look towards such baklava .. I give the recipe with pleasure, sorry for the bad pictures. Cook, but don't overdo it!

It's always very difficult to say for sure! After all, it is not for nothing that it is written, knead like for noodles. That is, a fairly steep dough. And different people may need a different amount of flour, depending on the flour itself, its quality, moisture.
I would start with 450 grams and gradually add as needed to achieve the desired consistency.

When I was kneading, for some reason I did not measure the amount of flour included, I just added it until it turned out to be a rather tight dough.
