Ingredients

Boiled potatoes
Unrefined vegetable oil with the smell of seeds

Cooking method

  • Clean the potatoes and boil with the addition of salt and dried dill for 5 minutes longer than usual. Remove the dill from the potatoes until the water is drained. Then you have to do everything very quickly. We drain the water. Quickly squeeze the garlic into the potatoes, add the pre-chopped greens, garlic squeezed out with a press, vegetable oil. We cover with a lid and pressing the lid with our hands, shake the pan well several times. To be honest, my husband does this process. He is stronger and he only needs to shake a couple of times. That's for sure. When we went on vacation before to the Crimea or Russia, there were different potatoes everywhere. Where we rented a house, of course everyone asked me to bake potato pancakes. I know the consistency, so I can work out of any. But not everyone succeeds in repeating after me. Then they call and are surprised ... And the point is the potatoes!

- boil potatoes in pieces (we take a variety that is cooked for no more than 10-12 minutes), add an onion and a clove of garlic when cooking
- without draining the water, put a portion with a spoon into a plate, without liquid, but not bothering too much
- sprinkle the steaming potatoes with coarse salt and lightly pour vegetable oil, the store type "Oleina" is also quite suitable, for whom it is not contraindicated to add garlic
- mix with a fork, the potatoes - the crumb is slightly "shaggy"
- and have a very tasty dinner with herring and cabbage!

If you haven't eaten all the potatoes, you can reheat them tomorrow, but be sure to bring them to a boil to warm them up well (this is a last resort).
