Fermented tea made from leaves of garden and wild plants (master class) (page 58)

light, even daylight, is also not good for tea.
So I bought these metal boxes. I searched for a long time in specialized stores. But it’s not that. I really liked the porcelain jars. But they cost fabulous. I found these in the garden store. One jar costs an average of 35 rubles. The drawings were different, even under Gzhel. I duplicate a photo of jars from the Ivan tea recipe:

Lyudochka, you will forgive us, some dreamers have settled in mulberries, all of us cannot sit quietly
Lyudmilochka, if we started talking about storing tea, then the season has passed as it should and your efforts are not in vain

Tea stored in glass jars in the light turns into a colorless substance without aroma and taste.

So I'm doing the right thing. that I keep it in iron jars and in a closet.

dream .. need to do something similar
And I have these jars on the shelf in the kitchen. My husband made almost the same shelf for me as in the picture, only a little narrower. Very comfortably. And in order not to get confused, where is what tea, I glue a piece of adhesive tape at the bottom of the jar to seal the windows with the inscription.

Thank you Checkmark! And you too ! And I congratulate all our tea girls on a kind of anniversary. I kept watch for the 50th voter here ... It was 48 for a long time, and then somehow at once - 51. So I missed another anniversary!

Precisely, the tea season ends, since they started talking about cans.
Galina Iv.
nooooo, mind you, just not this, it does not end, there are still a huge number of plans for autumn leaves of fruit

Look outside the window ... All the trees in my garden are half-naked and yellow. However, dry weather is predicted again. So you can still scrape together on the bottom of the barrel.
Anyuta73
Ludmila, hi dear I really hope this is not the end of the season. I hope that by the next visit there will be more leaves and I will be able to pick them off))
lappl1
Anechka, come quickly, otherwise the leaves are getting smaller and smaller. Yesterday's and today's rain and wind worked well ...
Omela
Luda, the closer you are to Moscow, the softer the weather and the more leaves. In my dacha, too, everything either flew around or turned yellow. But in the near area, they stand untouched. And near the house, raspberries are wild all green.
Galina Iv.
looked out the window: girl-th: we also have green fse
But just in case, we need to hurry up this weekend ...
lappl1
Oksan, just think! Only distance is nothing, but the climate is different. By the way, we still have raspberries. And cherries. And apple trees, pears, black chokeberry are rapidly crumbling.

Girls, and I first dried the berries in a bag in the cold-wind for a week, and then dried them in the stove for 1 hour at T about 100 * C, then again in the bag for 3 days.

Yes, AND ALL HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
paramed1
No, there is still time until the end of the season, our black chokeberry turns red with might and main, apple trees through one green, cherries, raspberries, strawberries ... Now I sit in the kitchen and almost for the first time next to the airfryer from the beginning to the end of drying. The door is closed, I am typing the text of a huge report and I catch myself thinking that there is a smell in my head, not city planning ... And this smell changes when the temperature regimes change. Now raspberry and apple tree.It is something! And tomorrow there will be a blackberry with an apple tree, she pulled so much out of greed that she had to stuff it into the freezer ... And tomorrow again at the plantation!
Galina Iv.
paramed1, well done, our man
Anyuta73
I read about flying leaves and so I want to rush to the village right now, have time to peel off everything that the wind and rain did not have time to peel off, but there are still so many things to do in the city .... even cry.
lappl1
Anechka, let me give you raspberries and an apple tree. Only my apple tree and Seryogina I cut off all from below, and I won't jump to the top. Talk to Comrade Lida, I'll come and pick it up. And she will put it in the freezer. Well, I'll go for raspberries if it doesn't rain.
Anyuta73
Lyudochka, thank you very much, but I don't want to burden you, otherwise you already have a lot of work in the garden. I know that you are like a bee. I'll try to come at the weekend, maybe the leaves will wait for me)))) Well, at least the apple tree will wait ... then I'll mix it with your strawberries, which are now in the freezer, and there will be a fairy tale
lappl1
Girls, I know that I won't say anything new, but I will show you all the same. So I did this apple jam in the microwave... And it is done without the peel. I usually throw it away because I have enough apples. But the peel is so good. Today I decided to cut this apple peel and dry it for tea. And it turned out to be so tasty, even tastier than dried apples! I barely pulled my husband away from her, I say, eat dried apples or fresh ones, and don't touch the tea filler. In general, I make jam every day. Now I will dry the peel every day.
And this is my peel in different forms:

Ludmila, you are full of ideas as always. I removed the peel from the apples with a cleaner, she peels off sooo thin shavings from me, now I'll try it with a knife, and then I'll dry it in the oven. Better than any chips and seeds. thanks for the idea

We are from the same hive ... Never mind, I will always find time for the leaves. If only there was no rain.

For the jam, I take the carrion, so I have to not only cut off the peel, but also the broken spots on the apples. Therefore, I can do it faster with a knife.

Ludmila, Anya, Lina -girls. Thank you very much for your feedback. I dried my roses. the temperature changed. it turned out 80g, by volume
can of 1.5 liters. The roses bloomed so beautifully, but a sharp deterioration in the weather was conveyed to us, so I reacted in time, otherwise the roses would have broken. Today, on all channels in the news, they show and tell about our weather. It remains to survive the night and morning, and there it will be calmer. At least we have light and we turned on the heating.
Yes, yesterday I picked up raspberry and quince leaves.

I bloom very beautifully gatsaniya, such large yellow and white flowers, resemble chamomile. Lina, I wonder if you can add them to tea, maybe you know.
Linga
We still have leaves, but they are not at all the same (((I made cherries the other day and fireweed (separately) - the leaves dried for 2 days - then they fermented for a long, long time - fermentation was going badly (the leaves were somehow tough) and not juicy.) And then I also overcooked them ... (I dried them on the cover of the Miracle Oven, since there is no oven in the village, and the lid turned out to be just a "beast"). I was upset, but hung up to dry it. Oddly enough. , the smell has improved over time - I'll wait for what will happen in winter.
As for the jars: tea "in the warehouse" - in transparent disposable containers and in the dark, and "for drinking" - in the kitchen in metal jars. But I didn't guess about the stickers on the bottom (thanks, Lyudmila!) - all the pieces of paper are inside - I open and read each jar to make tea. I went to glue)))

And I glue it on the side so that you can see it right away. I bought such a paper tape in Auchan 🔗... It does not leave traces and does not fly off over time.

And I have such a tape. Very comfortable. I write with a marker. I glue to the bottom of the jars for everyday use. And for storage containers - on the lid. Although, I agree that it is more comfortable on the side. Well, it won't take long to re-paste.

Linga, yes, nobody has dried it on the cover of Miracles. It seems to me that it is better to dry in a pan in small portions. But the main thing is that the tea "straightened out".

Alla, we saw your cataclysm on TV. The main thing is that you managed to cut off the roses. Now the tea will delight you.
Linga
Omela, but for some reason I feel sorry for gluing the jars on the side - probably because I want aesthetics, but I write everything "on the run" (like a chicken with a paw) and I feel sorry for pretty jars to spoil with such "beauty". Maybe in winter I will take it - and for the shelves! and for the jars!))) (if only not to drink all the tea before this time, not to give it away, otherwise everyone is so tasty that I pour "a little" with me :-)
Linga
Lyudmila, we are now in the process of moving from city to village. In the city, I dried tea in the oven (the most convenient way), and in the village, I managed to make tea in a frying pan, but gas is consumed very quickly (and we have it in small cans, like an aerosol), so I decided to try it in the Miracle Oven. And so that the tea inside does not get steamy, I only used the lid - I poured tea on a sheet of parchment and stirred it constantly, and then I got distracted a little and ... my tea burned (even the parchment turned black in places). The next batch was guarded, guarded, interfered with, interfered, several times removed to cool down, turned off and on, distracted by a second and ... the same picture - this lid is sooo hot, and the temperature is not regulated.
And nothing can break the spirit of experimentation - today I will dry the apple peel!

Linga, Mistletoe meant that we glue the inscription on the side to the containers for storing tea (in the closet, in the dark). Nobody except the cabinet will see this container. And it is more convenient for us to read from the side - there is no need to rearrange all the containers to find the desired tea, if the sticker is on the lid. And for daily use, we pour the tea into beautiful light-tight, tightly closing boxes and glue the inscription to the outer bottom of the can. In this case, aesthetics does not suffer. Here, I tried to provide all the options for the location of the inscriptions:

Yes, you cannot be distracted with our tea.
Linga, I didn't have an oven in my village house either. Rather, it was, but I was even afraid to turn it on (ancient, like a dinosaur). With me from Almaty, I brought a wonderful little email. oven. I did everything in it, but it was not suitable for tea - there is no temperature regulator, and there is absolutely no size. And so I specially bought e-mail. mini-oven with a volume of 45 liters with a temperature controller from 50 * to 320 *. I would like more, but, in principle, for leaves weighing 1 kg is enough. Not enough, but for a village where there is no centralized gas supply, this is the most ideal option. Here is my oven:

We survived the night, the rain is coming, the wind is blowing, but there are no terrible gusts. So I hope that my roses will bloom for a long time.Tagetis (marigolds) bloomed all summer, why not dry it? Long ago she pulled him out, and he sowed in all the beds, if it lasts a month, it will bloom.

Ludmila, I love tea. July is so fragrant, and in a jar and teapot. The mixture of cherry-thorn-apricot-jigida was brewed yesterday, the color became darker, richer. Delicious grapes from 7 varieties, not tea, but delight.
Linga
Lyudmila, thanks, I figured out the jars)))
Special thanks for the photo of the oven - I'm in the process of looking for an email right now. ovens - learning theory. (eh, this is not the first time I have been trying to give you a smiley with a flower, but the phone stubbornly refuses ...)

girls!!!!!! Help!!!!! I scrolled half of the leaves in a meat grinder, and I can’t the second one - not only is there no strength, so also the meat grinder bends and generally refused to twist the leaves, chews them! I wanted to roll up the rolls. but they do not ride, everything falls apart, some without juice at all! what to do? I'm already desperate ...
Galina Iv.
Bounty, no despair !!!! my cherry here did not spin in any way, the sausages did not come out, and the leaves were only pressed. So I zhamkala them, zhamkala, and then took out and cut, it turned out excellent leaf tea. Try it!
Bounty
and hammer with your hands or a meat grinder?

in a meat grinder, of course, where are the autumn leaves here?
Galina Iv.
I have them in a meat grinder back and forth and so several times, take out, they are already sticky from the juice

Oksana, Galina has already recommended you how to deal with the leaves. This is an option. You can also put them in the freezer. Let them lie down for a day or two, then they will be easier to spin. And it also depends on which leaves you twist. I suspect that your cherry is resisting. You can twist it with raspberries and apple trees. The scent of cherries will dominate strongly. But it's still better to recycle them through the freezer. Autumn leaves are indeed very difficult.
Probably, you have already managed somehow. But this is for the future. My email the meat grinder is still on a well-deserved rest until next season. But on manual I twist it through freezing.

Alla, so nice to read such reviews! I am glad that your tea was a success. I think that this hurricane did not rip all the leaves from the trees and you will still make several batches of tea. And for marigolds you can go to the neighbors. All my petals in the photo (except for marigolds) are from neighbors. The petals of marigolds are very beautiful. And, oddly enough, they practically do not smell and do not give the smell of tea. Apparently, all their smell is concentrated in the stems and leaves. But the phlox petals smell very tasty. And the zinnia is very beautiful. Only I picked it a little - the neighbor was not at home, I arbitrarily picked a few flowers. Tomorrow she will come to her dacha, I will go to her with sincere confession and for a new batch of flowers.
