And it seems to me that after smoking, as you are not mine, the smell will be present.
I cooked jellied meat in it, smoked it.
I have it in my summer kitchen, where I smoke mine. The first time after smoking I put it in the dishwasher, I thought so and ruined the dishwasher.
Like a smokehouse, it suits me 100%.
And not entirely clear, or rather a user-friendly interface.

My ves is 4 years old! I use it all the time. Well, on holidays it is stable and without, a couple of times a month for sure. It works flawlessly, I smoke at home - there is no smell. I got used to cleaning (again thanks to the forum))) with a steam cleaner. Shines like new.
I have never used a slow cooker, only I smoked and Jellied Varya.
