Ingredients

Big orange 2 pcs
Sugar 4 tbsp. l
Water 1 liter
Zest optional

Cooking method

  • 1. Peel the oranges.
  • 2. Divide into slices, removing bones if any.
  • 3. Put them in a cow or a soup cooker, cover with sugar, whoever wants can add zest.
  • We like 4 tbsp. l of sugar - there is sourness, and with 5 it is already decently sweeter.
  • 4. Pour a liter of water, you can hot, so that the oranges are cooked for a shorter time.
  • 5. Bring to a boil, reset the program and grind vigorously.
  • Why you shouldn't brew their full cycle of the program - because the drink loses its brightness and becomes boiled.

Note

From 2 large oranges with sugar it turns out - liqueur, uniform, sunny and with a bright delicate taste!
And at the same time it is not very stringy.
If you remove the membranes between the slices, you get a more refined drink, the taste is cleaner. But you don't need to remove them, it will still grind well!

Our orange drink is a favorite!
But in the same way, you can make drinks from other fruits, it is especially pleasant that you can use frozen ones - they need to be poured with boiling water to thaw.
I made from plums and cherries - it turns out great!
The main thing is not to overboil for a long time, otherwise the taste fades.

Some rub it on a grater, and I use the hand-made Teskomovsky trick, the picture below - it peels off exclusively the zest without the white skin.
But in general, I did it without zest, there is a lot of fiddling with it, now citrus fruits are heavily processed, so they need to be washed for a long time in order to clean the zest.
Orange zest is decently bitter, so you shouldn't add a lot of it.
