Recently I found an LG cookbook with recipes and there was a rice recipe just for people like me - who are always confused about the proportions of water and rice.

Microwaves at high power level (HIGH)

1. Place the rice and water in a large cup or bowl (microwave safe) and cover.

2. Cook on a high microwave setting. Cooking time 9-10 minutes for white rice and 15-16 minutes for unpolished rice. After cooking, let stand for 5 minutes.

I like it. The time intervals are conditional, and the amount of water. I tried it on long-grain rice with black rice. Waters 1: 2 ... I don't think, I think that 1: 3 ... I have to try.
