Seven-year plan, Svetlana, I almost always let off steam forcibly: I cover the valve with a double-folded towel and slowly move the lever. It takes 20 sec - 1 min. Yes, the steam is hot, but the water spray is extinguished with a towel and everything is ok. Another thing is dairy dishes, soups with cheese curds, etc. Here I turn off the device so that there is no heating and wait for 10 minutes. If the lid itself does not unlock, then I turn the valve very slowly, making sure that the milk foam does not come out. Previously, I had a pressure cooker, where I always had to relieve the pressure - figs you can wait for it to normalize the pressure itself. And here it is just to take into account the extra time for relieving the pressure, so that the products do not turn into mush and that's it, and Shteba will do everything herself.
And if, after the end of the program, the Steba is not turned off (i.e., all programs are not reset), and it switches to heating, the lid will unlock for a longer time, since the temperature inside will still be high and boiling will continue.
Seven-year plan
Tricia, Anastasia, thank you very much for the clarification !!! If suddenly, when needed, now I will not be afraid to play it off!
Tricia
Svetlana, not at all! It's just that in Shteba I usually make rich soups (I love them unforgettably) and I absolutely do not have the patience to wait long until the pressure is relieved. Usually I calculate the cooking time so that 5 - 10 minutes can be safely given to relieve the pressure. For example, if I cook soup for "Soup" 0.7 and from experience I know that the desired degree of readiness of the products will be obtained in 20 minutes, then I set "Soup" 0.7 15 (or even 10 minutes) and then go to Shtebe, already when she has 3:50 on the scoreboard. That is, she finished the main program, switched to heating, boiled for a while, began to relieve pressure, and when the display reads 3:50, the pressure inside is already quite weak, it's not scary to let it go. The cooking time, of course, depends on the temperature of the food, water, dryness / soaking, the size of the ingredients, etc. It is selected empirically.
Seven-year plan
Tricia, Anastasia, how simple and accessible everything was explained!
I usually always counted on time to come down by itself. But in life different things happen !!! Here is your experience and come in handy !!!
Thank you !!!
Tricia
Svetlana, to me you can on "you".
And this clarity appeared thanks to our forum collective intelligence.
When and if possible, read about Shtebochka. I read for a month before buying, I was typing my mind, since the coward in the operation of the devices is fair. And here I read so much about the habits of this pressure cooker and the experiments of girls from the topic that no clicks, hiss, etc., almost scared me.
And if anything, here we will always help with advice!
Seven-year plan
Tricia, Anastasia! So I bought mine when Shteba just appeared here! And only a few people had it. And not much has been written. And then I was constantly hanging out here, only in the bushes. And now she also decided to go out.
I liked Shtebochka at first sight, I just fell in love with her and immediately bought it!
With all my cartoons and pressure cookers, I fell in love, bought it !!! I have six of them in total! And I love everyone! But Shteba, she is so universal and stands apart from everyone else, she is the main one !!!
I also bought almost all my equipment thanks to the girls from the forum. Anything races praise and all I want !!! And then I go happy ...
By the way, it’s better for me too

This is a zoo! Fall away! Shine, you're just a real tiger tamer)).Moreover, with such experience, it was high time to come out of the shadows.
Seven-year plan
Tricia, Anastasia, we have no gas, the stove is electric. Therefore, it is more convenient with cartoons. I am good friends with all the technology ... / but it never hurts to learn something! /
But with a computer, not really! Until my eldest sat me down and showed me everything in detail! I've only been able to expose my first photo today. And then I still could not understand how girls do it! How!
But now a little bit and I'm already getting used to it! Again thanks to the girls' tips!

Seven-year plan, 'spat', I put a damp cloth and slowly bleed the air! And 103 grams was after 6 minutes had passed after the end of the cooking mode!

Giselle
Hello everyone! I am again with a question to the pros.
Does it matter whether the valve is closed or open when baking in the Porridge mode 0.3.
Masinen
Giselle, the valve does not close during baking.
Giselle
Thank you very much. I continue to master the unit. So far, only positive emotions.

Thanks to the work of your forum, I bought Shteba.
I ordered it on Ozone in Moscow, although I live in Bishkek. Through all of Russia, the order reached safe and sound, I include additional. bowl. 6 year old Panasonic helps too.

Thanks again for your help! All with Coming !!!

Giselle, the valve doesn't close when baking.
Masha, what's the point of putting pressure on it, then it won't hold, or I don't understand the multi function well?
I thought once the recipe says that you need to set the pressure, then you need to close the valve, which I do. When frying, I only don't close the valve or don't put on the lid at all, depending on what I'm cooking.
Tricia
I do not Maria, I apologize for getting in.
The fact is that in Shteba DD1 (as opposed to DD2), baked goods can be made only on the "Porridge" program and a little on the "Roasting" avenue, and on the "Porridge" avenue the pressure is initially set to 0.7 or 0.3. That is, we cannot run this program without pressure, since only two options are preset (0.7 and 0.3), but we can set 0.3, and then the valve itself will not close, since when baking muffins, for example, there is not enough liquid to evaporate and generate steam / pressure. Sometimes the valve is still blocked, and this can damage the rise of the dough, because the valve is either kept open or the lid is placed obliquely.
GTI Tatiana
When the valve is open, even if the float rises, air / steam will slowly escape through the black valve. This is clearly seen on the PAR program.
Quote: Tricia
we can put 0.3, and then the valve itself will not close, because when baking muffins, for example, there is not enough liquid for evaporation and the formation of steam / pressure.
And when the porridge is being prepared, the float will rise and it is better to close the valve so that working pressure 03 can be reached faster. But the pressure, with a large amount of steam, will still be typed and the program will start the countdown.

And if it is not turned off, then it will be unlocked exactly the same, only we will still be able to see the temperature on the sensor.
And Shteba will start heating only when the temperature in it drops to 70 degrees. In my opinion, this is logical.

This pressure cooker DOES NOT RELEASE the pressure on its own. I.e the valve does not open itself... For that we appreciate.
If you want, lower it yourself by hand, if you want, leave it closed to cool. In this case, sooner or later, the temperature there will drop and the pressure will disappear by itself, since there is no vaporization. Moreover, in the case of pea soup and a full saucepan, it is rather late than early - if I open it forcibly even after an hour, I see a boil.))

Masha, what's the point of putting pressure on it, then it won't hold, or I don't understand the work of multi well?
Yeah.Because this cartoon works not according to pressure, but according to temperature. And she has two of them, corresponding to the boiling point of water at an overpressure of 0.3 and 0.7 atm.

Thus, for baking (and other programs) you set not the pressure, but the temperature that the cartoon will maintain. For sweet pastries, 0.3 is enough, for bread dough they prefer Frying (but personally I don't know if a certain temperature is maintained there or Shteba simply fries to the fullest). It seems that I have not read about baking at 0.7 and have not tried it myself.
U_Dachnitsa
Girls, suns, I’m not thinking well today. I have Shteba DD 1, when I bake pies or biscuits I set the porridge pressure program to 0.3 and close the black valve, everything rises and bakes well, though it takes longer than the authors of recipes for Shteba DD 1. Question - am I doing the right thing?
GTI Tatiana
Mila,

what else do you need?
Masinen
U_Dachnitsa, Mila, they just wrote that the lid may be blocked, so I advise you to close the valve.

Girls, I made a liver with prunes here:

I somehow opened it forcibly at 88 *, a slight boil was the same.

Yeah. Because this cartoon works not according to pressure, but according to temperature. And she has two of them, corresponding to the boiling point of water at an overpressure of 0.3 and 0.7 atm.

Elena, programs with a pressure of 0.3 really work by temperature, and programs with a pressure of 0.7 by a pressure sensor.
GTI Tatiana
S-t, and how does the PAR program work? And why is it beeping from the start of the countdown to the end of the program?
Delait
I have never boiled milk, but now I switched to homemade milk and it must be boiled for yogurt, is it possible to do this in Shteba and on what mode or in Panas, tell me who knows
Masinen
Delait, you can boil on roasting.
Just watch not to run away.
GTI Tatiana
The milk can be boiled. Be sure to check the gasket, close the valve. And do not open immediately after the program! Letting the pressure release yourself is the best option. I made baked milk at Stebe, it's great.
Soup program, if you do not follow the process.

The temperature is high, the lid is not locked. To be careful and not burn yourself.

Only the lid is locked)

the cover is not locked.

And the lid is blocked both when the valve is open and when the valve is closed .... As it starts to hover well, it is blocked)))) And then it beeps ........

Beeps, only when the valve is closed
According to the instructions in the Steam program, the valve is open. I never close it.
Masinen
GTI Tatiana, nothing beeps when the valve is open.
GTI Tatiana
It's good, but mine squeaks
Stebovich
according to the instructions for DD1, the valve must be open and then it does not squeak, but since some users do not like splashes and steam from the open valve, they began to close it. With the valve closed, the pressure cooker picks up the temperature a little higher than necessary for the steam program and beeps to open the valve.

You can cook with both closed and open. You must choose that you are less annoyed by the squeak or splash

If you have a full basket of products, then the basket itself and the products act as a shield against splashes and there are almost no splashes, and if there is one carrot in the basket, then there can really be a lot of splashes and then it is probably better to close the valve.

Do you squeak with both open and closed valves?
GTI Tatiana
Quote: S-t
Do you squeak with both open and closed valves?
Yes. I never close the valve. I press the Steam program, the valve is open. The display shows 15 minutes. Steba DD1 is gaining temperature. Then the float rises and the countdown begins. But steam does not always come from the black valve. If it is, then the ferry goes up, there is almost no spray. Always beeps, in any case.
Stebovich
what are you cooking? and how much?
GTI Tatiana
Vegetables for the salad.Beets, carrots, potatoes. I cut it, put it in the basket and go.
Steamed omelet.
Steamed fish in a basket.
Sometimes the sieve is completely closed, sometimes not.
Now she poured a glass of water. Without everything. I turned on the program. Beeps. There is no steam through the valve (black) and it is open. The float has risen. I wanted to insert a video, but it doesn't work.
GTI Tatiana
There are two positions for the black valve: the dark circle is closed, the light circle is open.
I get that in both cases the valve is closed.
If you move it a little to the side, then the steam goes through the black valve and there is no squeak. The float is still raised and the cover is blocked.
Quote: Masinen
nothing beeps when the valve is open.
Is the lid blocked?
Masinen
GTI TatianaYes, it is bounded, the float rises, but the black one is turned to the open position and there is a column of steam and nothing beeps. As soon as I close the black valve, it immediately starts to squeak.
GTI Tatiana
Masinen, Thank you.
I think I understand the reason. The light circle (open) still turns out to be closed. And you need to move it a few degrees, then the squeak stops and a jet of steam comes from the black valve.
Masinen
Tatyana, well, that solved the problem with the squeak)))
and I was still surprised how it squeaks with an open valve.
GTI Tatiana
Maria, yes. Thank you.
And I also realized that the OPEN position (light circle), on my SC = the CLOSED position (black circle).

Maybe someone will come in handy. The arrow on the black valve points to 12, 3, 6, 9 means CLOSED. In intermediate values (between these figures) - OPEN. I experimented for a long time))))
