Consumer analysis

This device is designed for vacuum packaging of various food products. In the kitchen, it is a must. After all, vacuum packaging is the most modern type of packaging. Thanks to her, food does not dry out and is stored longer. Vacuum packaging slows down the development of bacteria that cause spoilage of products, thereby significantly increasing the shelf life and sale of goods.

Working with a vacuum sealer is easy and convenient. You can set one of 3 modes for adjusting the soldering time, depending on the type of film. The double seam on the vacuum seals packs food extremely tightly. The device is equipped with a film holder, a control lamp and a niche for folding the electric cord. "
I know that Zepter has a similar packer, but the price there is completely indecent, about 2000y. e

Only the other day I wanted to open such a topic, but somehow my hands did not reach it! But, apparently, thoughts are still material. I have such a thing, though from the times of the USSR. And there are even two more spools of film for spare! She is no longer presentable, but efficient. Well, what can I say, I use the device only from time to time, not often.
If you laugh, I use them to wrap the remotes for the equipment, especially the one in the kitchen, otherwise they are quickly seized by greasy hands. Well, since he is, I found such a use for him.

I have two such things, including Zepterovskaya.

A Zeptor toy is like "getting on a needle", that is, you need special bags or film, which can only be purchased from Zeptrer, and this is very expensive and a small amount, and the consumption is large. It does not work with other film. I use it very rarely.

Another (I don't remember the company) eats any film, preferably thick.

Since there is a vegetable dryer and freezer at home, there is no need to store food in a vacuum.

I use it only if I need to pack food for the trip - it's very cool by train from Moscow to Tallinn and nothing spoiled

The scope of application of such toys is very small for me, I practically do not use
Andreevna
I have the same as Admin - Zepterovskaya. I use it very rarely, only if I vacuum it on the road. Remote controls, various books, just solder them. Thing .... but very expensive (see Admin post on special film for it).
Admin

Here the conversation is not so much in the price (I want my soul to burn, and I will buy it expensive, sorry).

I see two questions:

1. Do I need it? For what purposes do we buy a toy?

2. What - what kind of film will we solder and where to get it?
Zepter is terribly expensive and the roll is very small, and their film is not economical in consumption, a lot goes to waste. It is called - put on a needle - when there is a toy, but you cannot use it, there is no film. And for the film only go to the Zepter, and the price bites - more expensive than the toy itself will then cost.
Their toy does not take another film.

If you use plastic film-bags in other vacuum systems from other companies - which one? Where to buy?
It is necessary to select - but you can, I do it myself. Packages must be selected thicker, otherwise they will break.

And to buy such a toy so that occasionally the remotes are sealed or breakfasts on the road - you need to think
According to the principle - and I also have
Rina
Well, you can want a lot of unnecessary things, for example, big and clean

And my "game" is to regularly find some new possibilities of using what is. Soooo interesting it happens

The packer, in my opinion, is not the most important thing in the household. I bought it specifically for "travel" products. I suppose that it can be useful if you need to prepare any cuts for the table in advance. But use it every day

Not practical! All the same, then you will have to tear the bag to use the greens, there is no sense to glue it back

Proven by our own experience
I agree if the package is one or two. And if there are 5-6 pieces of different greens. The second year we bought a fridge with a large freezer. Frozen foods (chopped bell peppers, cauliflower, dill, coriander, etc., etc.) are stored in tied bags. Yes - untied, broke off, poured off, cut off as needed, tied up - conveniently. But there are a lot of them in the freezer, and as a result of hanging them here and there (you need to find the right one) by the end of storage, the view is unpresentable, where it will break, where it will untie.

Hello!
Tell me, after all, is it possible to pack dried herbs and berries with a vacuum sealer?
And then I'm ripe for buying an electric dryer (mainly for drying dill, onions, ....), but I don't really like to tinker with jars and bags, and there is nowhere to arrange them properly (I will not make repairs with furniture in the kitchen).
Thanks in advance
Admin

Pack REALLY !!!!

Only then how to deal with the bags, if you need to constantly get the herbs and close the pack back.
You need to open the packages, cut off part of the package, then it decreases in size, the second time you can not close it under vacuum, the film will be wrinkled and short.

It is not practical. It is better to have vacuum cans for these purposes - it will be cheaper then.

Admin, thanks for your reply
I love to cook (and my son needs to cook all delicious, fresh and varied, preferably from products that are not common industrial preparation and I share with my parents, and they themselves switched to more homemade and natural food). And now I have access to small farming, I want to prepare herbs / fruits / berries ...
The idea with vacuum packaging is this: I used to buy bags with factory-made dried dill, for example. It takes 2 weeks maximum. This is how to pack the same herbs in vacuum bags in an amount of about 2 weeks. Opened it, use it, pinch it with a clothespin or binder. I think they will not deteriorate in a couple of weeks, and then open the next pack. It's the same with raspberries, I opened it, prepared something for a small thread for a week.
The frozen ones will be by themselves, there is a separate freezer for this, but half there is occupied with frozen juice (well, it doesn't pull me to rolling the cans).
It's just that I will find a dark place for a bunch of bags where to store them, but for a bunch of cans, not yet.
But I'll go take a closer look / look at the vacuum cans before buying a vacuum sealer.
Admin

Do it the way you like

But read our forum carefully for the use of different household appliances for workpieces, they will not advise anything bad with us, all the tips are tested by people and time

What you suggest is not correct, and will take up a lot of space in the freezer and in other places.

I do not recommend buying a Severin vacuum sealer.
Unfortunately, I bought one for myself. The film that comes with the device is of normal quality, but 3 rolls of additional film are not suitable for the packer.
And you can't find something similar.
As a result, the first roll ended, and the packaging of products ended.
Aunt Besya
Again, I wound my nose around the Zepter packer. I just can't calm down. I figured out the price tag for the film: 30X600 cm - 11 euros well, it seems like I will not die .. But how much will it be in standard packages, well, for example, greenery? And what is this film like? It must be doubled. to form a package? Then it turns out to be only 3 meters!
Admin! tell in details
Admin
Well, if you have some extra money, you can buy ...

For twisting 2-3 loaves of loaves (standard), you need to use about 30-35 cm of films, and remain "empty" 5 cm on each side, the packer simply cannot take them closer.

A roll of film ends quickly, is expensive!
The film is made by a sleeve (bag), but it must be soldered from both ends, and is very dense, it does not bend well.
On one side, the film is rough, with this side it lies on the solder.

You cannot use any other film.
It turns out, we sit down "on the needle" - we constantly need to buy film - the only question is for what purposes to pack food in film.

If for every day at home, then vacuum cans are more practical, and sandwiches can be worn to work in ordinary sandwich bags.

My packer has been inactive for several years.
And it turned out to be more practical to freeze greens and fruits / berries in ordinary tight bags - open-pick-close-clean. Disposable Zepter bags

Admin
600 cm. Divided by 30-35 cm. It turns out 20 packs of sandwiches (2-3 in one package) with sausage and loaf
Well, and calculate the cost of packing one buter yourself ...

Even I wanted this packer, True, I'm not ready to pay 2 thousand European rubles. Expensive, however. Money is such a thing that is never superfluous!
And how convenient it would be to put everything in a freezer in a vacuum ...
Yesterday I looked at the price list - a packer without a pump 460 EUREC. have fallen in price or what are our prices different?
Yes, it is not very necessary for the butters, but the greens are there for the freezer. fish, meat for the refrigerator ..
Admin, really, it turns out a little expensive ..
Caprice
For sandwiches or greens, using a vacuum is meaningless. Our greens are always fresh, and cheap packaging film is enough for buters. Vacuum packing is good only for long-term storage.

Ever since my school days, I have been using a soldering iron complete with metal for all these packaging purposes. ruler. Cheap, fast and takes up almost no space
Aunt Besya
Well, a soldering iron is purely to solder the edge, but the packer also creates a vacuum, sucks the air out, or not?
Leska

Aunt Besya, I tell it on my fingers: greens in a bag-a) if a small portion, then you run your hand or a ruler until it is flattened and sealed; b) a lot of greenery - you slightly roll it up like a roll into a tube - the air comes out, you seal it. Soft berries - the type of strawberries, raspberries - lightly sprinkle them with powdered sugar (so that there is no ice) - into the bag - you go through the tip of a soldering iron 3/4 of the length - then any pump (pump from a marinator, a large syringe, or someone on the forum your favorite syringe!) you pump out the air in 3-5 strokes and seal the bag to the end. If the phone cord hadn't gone to warmer regions, I would have shown you packed raspberries of the 2009 harvest

Quote: Leska

I almost forgot - for these purposes I buy bags that are "for freezing" (for some reason I still believe in them)
The idea is super !!! Are you putting something between the soldering iron and the bag? Well, so as not to stick to the film?
Leska
magenta,
put the bag on any old board, cardboard ...; you press the metal. a ruler (maybe another is possible, but it's convenient for me, although once at work I used a knife) and along it you lead with a soldering iron or a device for burning wood.

As a child, I tried to solder with an iron on this principle, and then for a long time I scraped the film off the sole, stuck tightly ... Does this not happen with a soldering iron?

In one overseas culinary show, I saw how meat was specially vacuum-packed in a film in cool retsorans, and then cooked in this film.In this way, the most delicate and most delicious product was allegedly obtained. The only question is that the film is special, food grade.

I confirm - meat boiled in a vacuum turns out to be very tasty, soft!

But you can cook such meat without a vacuum, simply by putting the meat in a frying bag, for example, as here 🔗

Aunt Besya
Well, in general, I tried the device. I liked it. It is clear that this is not a basic necessity and not an item of daily use, but very convenient! By the way. To my great surprise (after reading the Temka), it turned out that the packer of this company perfectly seals ordinary bags for freezing, well, those that are sold in rolls and still have wire clips! And it creates a vacuum in new bags!
I started doing the hacking in the kitchen cabinet, found a couple of bags of herbs, a bag of coffee and malt, just tied in a knot, and decided to give it a try. The packages are chewed, wrinkled, because they have been in the closet for a long time, but everything is perfectly sealed. One of the packages apparently had smoother edges, without dents - there the vacuum turned out!
Happy as an elephant!

I first saw such a packer 3 years ago in Prague.

I don't remember why, but the purchase was postponed until "better" times. All this time I never missed an opportunity to buy it in Russia, I didn't even find it in Moscow stores. And this year I bought it, but still in Prague.

I am very pleased with the purchase. Any packages are glued, I take them for freezing, they are denser. Fresh berries, frozen in a vacuum, are stored better, take up less space in the freezer. I plan to freeze meat and fish like that.

Over time .... I broke it. Now it solders, but it creates a vacuum badly, practically does not create it. It's my own fault
How did this happen? What a pity!

When not in use, it does not need to be snapped on. And I put it into the closet in a clicked state. Sealing sponges (foam rubber) stuck together in one place and when opened, the tightness was broken. Of course I tried to glue it, but alas, it's not that

Lena, thank you very much for the information! I will be more attentive to my svarzhichka folia (this is how the device is called in Czech), but there is no latch in my design, during use you need to press the lid with your hands.
And I didn't throw away the styrofoam pads that were in the package.

So I close it for storage.

Aunt Besya
In mine, along the lower and upper parts, between which the bag is laid, sealing strips made of a sponge or a material very similar to it are glued. When working, the package is inserted, then when you press the side parts of the lid, they snap into place, clamping the package together. It was in this position that I removed it, and when I began to open it, the sponges stuck together and came off from the attachment point. It seems like I returned them exactly to their place, fixed them with superglue, and the vacuum ceased to be created. Seals well!

why not? especially if cooked using sous vide technology. only the price on this link - Clatronic namooooooooooooo cheaper

The link is just for example.
I can order one from China directly twice cheaper.
The trick here is that any packages can be used, while Klatronic has corrugated packages, which are more expensive.
And here on the video, it is generally shown that he does not succeed in vacuuming

Likewise.
It seems like I want, but I'm not sure why I need it. I would like to chat with the owners: why are they used or thrown into the closet further away?
Everything is beautifully depicted in advertisements, but this is advertising, but what about life?
plasmo4ka
If you have a Steba SV1, you simply cannot do without a packer. In all other cases - we have lived somehow until now without him - here everyone decides for himself. But I aimed at the Clatronic. I want to try the sous vide technology in MB (in mine you can set t). I will order next month.

And who can tell me from an unbiased side - which packer is better to take? The price range is too wide: from 1300 to 10.000 and more. And what is the fundamental difference between a cheap Clathronic-Bomann and at least a Profi Cook or Shteba for 5,000?

plasmo4ka, you don't need to have a marinator. A hand pump can be bought separately and is very inexpensive. In the topic of marinators, options were discussed. The main thing is that the Hotter packages and the pump fit together.

Ipatiya, thanks for the hint, only in Ukraine there is no Hotter (you can still find aero grills, but I haven't found marinators and pumps with bags yet.) But I'll use the idea. Somewhere in our online stores I have already come across vacuum bags ... I went to study the Internet ..

I wonder what they learned.
I have had a regular packer since 1995. Vacuum TERMOPACK type EXV-0.055 / 220 is called.
Manufactured by the "device" plant.
Alive still Used with might and main. I just bought a wide plastic wrap for the meter and cut it as I wanted.
And now about the main thing ... I got a Xotter packer.
Question.
How do I open packages? Well, I’m fine with my nails, but my men swear (in the sense with their fingers) they cannot open it.
The package with deli meats in the form of a shop ham, a couple of pork pork fat and a piece of servilat is full of liquid. I opened the package and blotted it with a napkin. That is, it turns out that the vacuum draws out excess liquid? Either the products are such with excess moisture, or dehydrated products will be obtained.
Before that, it was simply wrapped either in cling film or foil.
And again. Where to get packages? I have not yet dug up an Internet store, so that containers and sachets for the packer. The hotter only has delivery in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
And the rest are kicked off to local distributors, and they answer that they have nothing to do with what the hotter sends them, so they trade.
Anyone who has experience with such devices, please share what you like and what you don't.
Maybe someone has their own chips for the operation of these devices.
I understand that the topic will come to life now. Once he began to produce them and the price is normal.
And Chinese friends are not asleep.

I am not against expensive devices, but only if there is something to overpay for.

I bought myself a Pro Cook when I looked at him at work and visually compared it with the Vk5 Shteba. So the PC has the function of sealing dry and wet products, which is good when you sing raw meat, stewed vegetables, fish, that is, everything that gives juice, and dry for those that are not so juicy. And Shteba vk5 only had a bottom function, but not quite we were able to work with them.

But Shteba has now (according to the company's manager, at the end of the month the Shteba packer VK 6 will appear, as it is clear from the description that it will look like a PC:
Compression pressure - 0.8 bar
Air pumping speed - 16 l / min
Automatic evacuation and sealing
Additional sealing function
Pulse mode for "delicate" products
Film and bags up to 28 cm wide
The ability to create a vacuum in special. containers
Film knife included. )

He will also have the opportunity to evacuate containers, there will be a variety of them, unlike a PC (there are only 2 of them and everything, no options, since the container has non-standard lids - many coal).

Dense corrugated bags for packing. Price for 50 pieces - 540 rubles. But they can be reused and the third and .... It all depends on the products and their quantity. Moreover, PC packages are suitable for Shteba, at least in the Master class we used packages from one package ...

I had no urge to wait and took the PC. And I tried Alya SuVid at MV Shteba - it turns out great!
