Don't laugh, folks, but I can't pick a kettle. We are going to change the electric surface to a gas one, I wanted to buy an ordinary kettle, but, of course, I want a nice and high quality one. Yesterday I killed the evening, reading the reviews and it turns out that the least complaints about our unpretentious Russian-made enameled ones. I have no single opinion about the whistle. If it is quiet, then this is probably a plus, but if it’s like a siren, then I don’t want to jump every time. Moreover, the shape of these whistles is inconvenient for most. Or a blotch (if you shoot, you will get burned) or go up by a pimp, and it is small and metal, it will be uncomfortable to open hot. I would like the handle not to heat up and be whole, and not an arc-half. I'm afraid I can't hold a full kettle with this half-handle. All the models that I liked then disappeared due to complaints about peeling enamel, rust, unsoldered bottom and so on.
Praise, pliz, your teapots, otherwise I'll die without boiling water.
Rita
By the way, an electric kettle boils much faster than a kettle on a gas stove.
Anchic
Irina, the handle is only full. Our half began to come off - after 4 years it began to leak at the handle attachment point. We now have a model where the whistle is opened using a lever on the handle (there is a spring). How long it will be - I don't know yet. Now I’ll find a picture and show it. We have not considered enameled teapots at all for many, many years, and also pots.
Angel with horns
Rita, we have now 🔗 Panasonic, you will be tortured to wait until it boils. And the electricity bills are just killing.

Anna, thanks for the answer. Why don't you consider enamel teapots? I know that many people don't like pots because of what burns in them, especially porridge. And what about the teapots?

Irina, the enamel can chip off. I do not like chips, I think that water and food should not come into contact with the lower layer under the enamel.

Our handle is covered with silicone. heats up, but not always.

Irina, I really like Metrot enamel cookware (in my opinion, Serbian production). But sellers in stores categorically did not recommend me to buy their kettle - allegedly in the place where the bezel is located, rust appears very quickly. There is no such thing in pots, and the kettles were allegedly returned to them. I like stainless steel teapots. I had Gipfel and Wesco teapots. Easy to clean with Shumanite, the handle does not heat up, the volume is not bad. True, the price is now awful. But there are fewer problems.

Well, I always knew that greed does not lead to good. And the current purchase of clean water is confirmation of this
There was a sale of overseas cast iron here recently. Skapsult I thought for a long time, well, what else do I need. It seems like nothing is needed))
And then a frying pan came across in the price-list. Eight (!) Centimeters. It seemed to me that it would look like, say, twenty And ordered the Sale))
When the courier brought it to me, I laughed for half a day. Admire))
Now I have in the kitchen either a talisman, or a thing that will remind of grabbing hands)) And that sometimes a lot of good things are also bad))))))))

ps I'll go buy eggs, fry Quail))))))))))))))

Tillotama
selenа, I'm afraid to burn coffee. As I tried it, it can be seen overheated. Should the taste be more interesting?

I would have nailed it over the door, for example, a horseshoe in ancient times.

Enamel cast iron Regent inox arrived. I cannot report on the quality - I just brought it home, but it looks like norms. Only it is somehow huge, it seemed to me that it would be smaller. Although I knew all the linear dimensions and volume in advance
The walls are thinner than those of similar pots of expensive brands, I would not carry some 5-liter Staub to the house
Inside is white enamel, along the edge of the pots and lids there is an unenamelled black strip. The lid is flat, with pimples inside - can be used as a meat hammer or press

For the company I ordered a deep baking sheet with a plastic lid, also Regent inox. This innovation impressed me so much that I’ll probably go to work with it instead of a bag: roomy, and the handle is more comfortable than any of my bags

I wonder why in the instructions for the enameled cast-iron cookware they write that the new product must be warmed up and greased with oil? This point is not entirely clear to me: what is the enamel made from this oil?
Scarecrow
Sibelis,

Everything is correct. It is also advisable not to wash the enamel with degreasing agents. The enamel is not porous, but does not itself have non-stick properties. The fatty film prevents the food from sticking.
Sibelis
Scarecrow, from this turn! I disagree, why now, do not wash anything at all, let everything overgrow with fat?
That does not have non-stick properties, I know that, well, I'm not going to fry, stew. With the addition of oil, of course. And there is no point in smearing the walls, the oil is just going to drop on them.
Scarecrow
Sibelis,
You can wash the dishes. I'm telling you for sure. Don't you fry in them? Everything, you can wash!)

If you extinguish - do not smear anything and do not bother yourself.)))

It is collected in droplets - this is when the oils are dofigischa. And the film is the film. And she remains. You should not overgrow with fat, boiling water washes everything off quite well)).

By the way, I put away my Baer steel frying pan: she hesitated me. It rusts for any reason.
Sibelis
Scarecrow, yes, the closet of any "ilite" is packed, but when it comes to things, you get something with which you have less trouble

Nata, what did you plan to cook in this frying pan?
Scarecrow
svetta,

I didn't plan anything like that in advance, because I didn't know that it was so huge!))) Now I'm frying pancakes on it. Immediately the whole portion of the dough (for 450g of flour for the whole family))). She also fits into the oven for me entirely. I wanted to bake cutlets / meatballs, etc.

Scarecrow, I saw your frying pan and went for a ruler) I also have a rather big one specially climbed to measure - 35 cm mine
very convenient when you need a big pie or a lot of pies. The baking sheet is a bit thin, but this frying pan is just right. But I usually use it in the oven. Your 40 is bigger and will be a little higher. Nothing, everything will come in handy on the farm))

). Personally, I decided that a 40 cm frying pan is a completely normal frying pan. I even went for a ruler, measured it, figured it out, chose between 36cm and 40 for a long time. I decided that 40 was great. Received.
