Cifra, Yeah ??? !!! Well, it's not for nothing that I want this too.
Is the temperature different for desserts than for yoghurts?

I don't know this ... syrups and other additives can be added later

Why and asked. I didn’t like the review, to be honest. The person didn’t really understand how it works, but is already writing a review ... Well, that's okay. I looked at Tefal, which makes cottage cheese too, but did not buy. The amount of cottage cheese there is small, and the price of the device is already very high. I agree with shade, cheesecloth and a saucepan - there will be cottage cheese
Cifra
MirabelThere is actually a steam bath for desserts. Water is poured at the bottom, which then turns into steam. That is, if the programs for yogurt and cottage cheese are almost the same, then there is a completely different manufacturing principle. Desserts take 20 to 45 minutes to prepare.
Here is a book from a yogurt maker: 🔗Book% 20recipes% 20yogurt maker% 20MultiDelices.pdf
They just write everywhere in dessert recipes about whipped cream - this is, apparently, translation difficulties, there should be just heavy cream instead of it, you don't need to whip anything.

Olga, Otzovik and Irrekomendid sites are custom sites. There are 90% of paid reviews. There is also a third site - but the name fell out of my memory.
Mirabel
CifraThank you so much!
yes yes, we have this yogurt maker like SEB and we need fat cream for whipping. It seems that desserts will not work in a cheap yogurt maker, for this we use a multicooker.
Mams
Yulia, Thank you! In general, I suspected so.

Cifraand thank you for the link to the recipe book. There are interesting ideas there, but you can cook in a simple double boiler (or the yogurt mode in a multicooker, where a steam bath is used).
Diva
Hello everyone! Girls, can yogurt be covered with a lid while it languishes? Here I watched a video there they prepare yogurt in plastic jars and close a lid. I have never made yogurt, I also want to try to make it in a multicooker. Confuse plastic jars and the fact that they are closed, with closed lids can be placed in two floors, more yogurt can be made at a time.
Mona1
I close the jars with lids, it says so in the instructions for the yogurt maker. But I have glass ones.
Mams
Diva, I don't put lids on the jars. Not in a slow cooker or in a yogurt maker. In the multicooker - plastic glasses, in the yogurt maker - glass. It is written differently in different instructions. I somehow do it right away without caps, everything works out great. In my multicooker, the cups are far from the water (they stand in the grid-steamer and do not touch the water), so I don't cover there either. If the jars stand in water, I would cover them.

Yesterday I had for the first time in many years of yoghurt making - yoghurt on Caprina's over-leaven was prepared in 3 hours. I put as usual 1 can of ready-made yogurt from Caprina and a liter of 6% milk, for 6 hours. Three hours later I looked - and the yogurt was already frozen .. I took it out and put it in the refrigerator. Delicious. In general, Caprina has a very strong leaven. In a month, her term will have passed, but she works just fine. I think you can use it not for one liter, as it is written, but for two liters ...
Diva
Mona1, Mams, thanks!

And here's what else I read
jars of milk and sourdough must be covered with cling film before installing in a multicooker - do not miss this moment. The fact is that during the heating process, condensate will accumulate under the lid of the multicooker, and it is undesirable for it to get into containers with yogurt
Today I will try it for the first time. For starters, I'll take a jar of activations.

Natalishka
Diva, but I do not close the jars, but simply cover the top with a lid. It doesn't matter if it's glass or plastic.
shade
Peace be with you bakers!
This is what I'm reading the topic about - and the product ripens in different ways
Well, maybe it depends on the device: yes: And how to determine the readiness
In the sense - I put it on for 8 hours, or maybe after 5 it will be ready - try something
It seems like I'm going to make a pilot tomorrow, so I bother
Natalishka
Anatoly, I just tilt the jar slightly and if it's a dense clot, then you're done.
shade
Peace be with you bakers!
I bought two appliances - one for a liter and the other with cans
Tomorrow I want to test the one with one capacity
mowgli
shade, with one capacity is a smile?
shade

mowgli-- is that a smile?

Do you ask about the device or send a smiley

mowgli
about the device ..

Yes, due to the fact that I decided to make sour cream, I also want the device in one can. Share where they took and how the tests, please
shade
Peace be with you bakers!
I bought it today in - this is an online store, but it also has hospitals - 910 rubles, this thing cost
I will test it tomorrow - I want to use 6% Belarusian milk, but why is the store where it is sold today was closed
So I'll test tomorrow
Mams
Anatoly, the readiness of the yogurt is checked in this way - if the contents do not flow when the jar is tilted, does not worry, then it is ready. Yesterday it happened to me, I was ready much ahead of schedule. 8 hours for yoghurt on activation is a lot. 5-6 is enough, especially since tomorrow we are promised warm enough. Follow the content.

If water appears from the bottom of the jar, it has already been overexposed.

Guys-
Tell a beginner
Set by default at 8 o'clock - Activation natural + milk 3.6 Brest-Litovsk ultra pasteurized
3 hours passed, I decided to drop by to check the temperature and see - and suddenly it's ready
The temperature between the walls is 45 degrees, but in the product itself it is 40 degrees, and how to say it - grabbed
Another hour passed - I opened it to look and saw this

🔗

what do you think - this is from a thermometer probe or something else
mowgli
Anatoly, this has already been overexposed, it prepares faster in the summer. You probably had yogurt ready in 3 hours. Grabbed-means-ready
shade
Peace be with you bakers!

Natalia--
well, like the people explained - the type does not fall out of the container - that means ready
And I'm still watery - well, like sour cream.
mowgli
sour cream? our store is not liquid at all. if, like sour cream, you prick, and she sits tightly, then you are ready
sazalexter
shade, 40 * too much, 38 * is better, re-fermenting with Activia is a risky activity, buy any dry ferment, and everything will work out.
shade
Peace be with you bakers!

sazalexter-- - buy any dry starter culture, and everything will work out.

Duc I already did it

Re-fermenting and was not going to - 23 rubles Activation 40 rubles milk, and so the exhaust is normal
Natalishka
And I re-ferment the Activia three times. Everything is working out fine
sazalexter
shadeBy fermenting from Activia you are already fermenting. In any sour milk from the factory, according to the norm, there can be another microflora, including not very useful ones, and how it will multiply and what will be the result, only God knows.
shade
Peace be with you bakers!

Well, I'm just learning so far
Bread, too, once began to bake according to a simple recipe, and now it has matured
It will improve with the yogurt maker

Does anyone have a Clathronic yogurt maker? how is she doing?
shade
Peace be with you bakers!

Well, from the second time it turned out straight to the taste of everyone \ and the grandchildren as well

It turned out to be of good consistency and pleasant taste \ kvass with 4 teaspoons of condensed milk \

from the top, unevenness from what is filled to the edges

Of course, the trick with turning the can will not work, because there are more than a kilo
But practically

Anatoly, How lovely!!! and condensed milk is somehow felt in the taste?
shade
Peace be with you bakers!

Mirabel--

You know, not condensed milk taste, but so creamy sweet

Milk Prostokvashino 3,2 + Activia + Condensed milk
It stood for 8 hours - maybe it was ready before, but I slept and used the yogurt maker as an alarm clock
Mirabel
Anatoly7in my opinion it turned out awfully delicious for you! super! thanks for the idea!

Does anyone have a Clathronic yogurt maker? how is she doing?
I have a Clathronic JM3344. For three years now, at work a couple of times a week, it has been working, nothing has broken. But initially it overheated, I don't remember, up to 45 like. But I knew that almost everyone overheats (and in summer in the heat, so everything is 100% and therefore at the same time I immediately bought a thermostat, and if it overheats without it, I think that the substrates will not save. I liked the fact that the jars are glass and you could still buy a set of 6 of the same jars, which are always needed. Although this is not a decisive condition for buying a yogurt maker, I found mustard and honey of the same volume and height. Also glass with screw caps.
Alex100
Anatoly, well done) the main result)
If you like it yourself)
Mirabel
Tanya, Thank you so much! Here they are sold for the same price as yogurt jars.
Tell me, what does your thermostat look like?
Mona1
Here I took it, this one is the first one. Adjustment step - 0.1 degrees
🔗
You set two temperature levels and it turns on / off the device when these values are reached inside the yogurt maker. Like an iron, it turns on and off. But the thermostat cannot be fitted to a yogurt maker, with electronic control and shutdown by a programmable timer. Only for the simplest is it suitable. This is not only this, but in general, any thermostat.
There are two varieties in the description, you can indicate to give - for a yogurt maker. But they are exactly the same, just that for a yogurt maker the wires, on which the sensor itself is flat, easily passes under the lid of the yogurt maker. I bought it when I was only with a round cross-section and did not crawl under the lid in any way, I had to poke a tiny hole in the case to fit it.
Mirabel
Tanya, Class! that's so beautiful! Thank you so much! Another would be to find this miracle here, but at an adequate price.

Vika, yes, you probably have one too, look for a thermostat for incubators, it seems to fit too. By the way, where I bought, they send to other countries, maybe they will send to you, look at the bottom of the page 🔗
It's just that maybe even if you find something from you, it is sooo expensive, but here it may even be much cheaper with shipment. In general, there on contacts write to them, I wonder what they will answer.

So I say focus

Out of the can and I do not fall out

But from the standard form it slips little by little

Well, in pursuit--
What did you make of

The question is cleared - I found the composition of your yogurt

I have it on Activia, maybe it won't come out of the mold with sourdough
Well, to be honest, I absolutely don't care if a product falls out of the can or not.
The taste suits, the cost is the same - What else does a person need to be happy

The main thing is that everything is with yoghurts. In your liter jar, in our yogurt makers, each has his own.

Hello! Has anyone tried making sour cream in clay pots? I have a yogurt maker Brand 4001. When I make sour cream in my own glasses, sour cream is stored perfectly, and when in a clay pot it quickly grows moldy. I fermented with dry sourdough and store sour cream - the result is the same.
