Egg and Scallion Pie

Ingredients

Margarine 250 g
Milk 100 ml.
Yeast 25 g fresh or 1 tbsp. l. dry
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
A pinch of salt
Flour 2.5 cups (240 ml glass.)
Egg 1 PC. (protein in dough, yolk for lubrication)
Filling
Egg 9 pieces
Green onion 500 BC
Butter 50 g
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add 1 tbsp. l. sugar, 2 tbsp. l. flour. Let stand for 15 minutes, until "bubbly".
  • Grind margarine with flour and 1 tbsp. l. sugar crumbs.
  • Combine all ingredients, knead the dough. I did it in a bread maker on the "Dough" mode.
  • Place the dough in a bowl, tighten with cling film and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Filling:
  • Chop the onion and simmer in butter for 3-5 minutes. Add boiled, diced eggs, salt and stir.
  • Divide the dough into two unequal parts: 2/3 and 1/3. Roll out most of it, put in a greased form with vegetable oil so that the dough hangs along the edges. I have a form with a diameter of 33 cm. Lay out the filling. Cover with a second flatbread and pinch. Brush with egg yolk.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 30-40 minutes (until golden brown).
