Mint lemonade

Ingredients

1 lemon
2 l of water
mint to taste
sugar to taste

Cooking method

  • I tried different recipes, I liked this one the most - it does not taste bitter at all, a simple secret, see below
  • rub lemon with a brush under hot water.
  • remove the zest from the lemon with a vegetable peeler, only the yellow part.
  • Mint lemonade
  • Put the zest in a saucepan, pour 2 liters of water, bring to a boil.
  • remove the white subcortex from the remaining lemon, we need it bald. it is this white cotton wool that tastes bitter !!!
  • Mint lemonade
  • cut in half, squeeze juice into a bowl. we also leave the squeezed out halves.
  • pour the juice into boiling water with the zest, throw in the halves, put a couple of mint sprigs (to taste) and boil for 1-2 minutes.
  • Mint lemonade
  • remove from heat, cool (I put the pan in a bowl of cold water). filter, add sugar to taste. we pour it into plastic bottles and into the refrigerator.
  • very tasty, absolutely natural, in the heat - what the doctor ordered and absolutely no bitterness!

Thank you! We will try.
Our family recipe for a refreshing drink consists of an orange and a carrot - also a thing. Moreover, there is no taste of carrots as such. It also refreshes perfectly.

Dry mint will absolutely not have the flavor we wanted. Better to take fresh or frozen, like Liss.

People, Can I be smart here? By the way, I've already seen a similar recipe on the forum. And there she wrote that it is better not to boil the mint, but to add tempo to the liquid. 90 degrees Then the aroma and color will be awesome. Trust me. I'm a mint and lemon balm tea maniac.
Lozja
Lisss's, thanks for the recipe! Already chilling in the refrigerator. Cooked in a multicooker (survived).

Very useful on hot days
Take my little advice ...
Since the drink will not stand for a long time, the lemon juice can not be boiled, but added to the already cooled broth, adding not only a pleasant taste, but also the stored vitamins.

I just wanted to say that the recipe is very similar to something like fruit drink, when the juice is added to the already cooled, so skAAAT compote. But this is certainly not for storage, apparently.

I took it to the tabs, thanks.

Taking into account all the tips in Temka, I prepared this lemonade yesterday in this way: I boiled a decoction from the zest, turned it off, waited for 5-10 minutes, added a squeezed lemon and two fresh mint sprigs. It turned out very tasty! Very mint lemon!
All the same, dry mint is not at all suitable for these purposes, last time, if you compare, it was practically not heard, more lemon was in taste. And here everything turned out so harmoniously. I hope the guests will like the cake - I put two bottles of lemonade, two bottles of my own type of forfeits (orange, carrot).
And as always, I will prepare soft drinks, and it gets colder outside. Straight kapets.

Not drunk we are all mulberries ... A heating pad and an enema, perhaps warming.

And I do not boil lemon (sorry for vitamins). I pour boiling water over the mint, close it tightly, after a period of time I put the lemons cut into circles and some of the sugar. The drink should be very warm, but not boiling water. I seal it again and let it brew until it cools. I add sugar to taste.

And so she did! I also regretted vitamins. It is a pity that I cooked little. Lemonade, it's such an interesting item: it just was - and now it's gone

Girls, can I put in my 5 kopecks too?
I have been making a similar lemonade for a long time, only from one lemon (thanks for the mint idea). And recently I made a concentrate for 0.5 water, cooled it and added it to bottles with cold mineral water. The result was a sparkling homemade lemonade, the guests were delighted.

And I, too, with my 5 kopecks. If you add orange and green tea, the taste becomes even richer.

Thank you all, and especially Lyudochka, for the treasure trove of goodies in drinks.
I think that for all these recipes, where you do not need a violent boil, but only the infusion-drawing of vitamin benefits, a slow cooker is very suitable, whoever has it.
In the evening, throw in all the ingredients, bring to a boil and turn off until morning to infuse, there is a thermos and a 2: 1 water bath mode. That sho dokhtUr prescribed
mka
I would not bring it to a boil, or rather, I would boil the water and let it cool slightly, and then add the ingredients. Because lemon has a peculiarity to taste bitter if it is poured with boiling water and left to infuse for a long time.
