Cookies "Anzac" ("Anzax")

Category: Bakery products
Anzax Cookies (Anzax)

Ingredients

butter 100 g (80 gr)
honey 1.5-2 tbsp. l.
baking soda 1 tsp
sugar 100 g (70 gr.)
oat flakes 75 gr.
coconut flakes 75 gr. (30 gr.)
flour 100 g

Cooking method

  • I took the recipe from the "Gourmet Pastry" magazine.
  • I used it with minor adjustments. My comments on ingredients are in parentheses.
  • It turned out very tasty.
  • The cookies are stored perfectly, crunching on the third day.
  • ANZAC biscuits were marketed to commemorate the addition of Australian and New Zealand troops to the British in the battles of the Gallipoli Peninsula during World War I. Unfortunately for the Entente forces, this Dardanelles operation turned out to be a crushing defeat, but the cookie remained as a reminder of the brave and loyal service of the ANZAC troops.
  • Anzax Cookies (Anzax)
  • COOKING:
  • 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Melt butter and honey in a saucepan. Mix. Pour 1 tbsp into a cup. l. water and extinguish soda with the addition of citric acid. Add to butter syrup.
  • 2. Stir the sugar, oatmeal, coconut and flour in a large bowl. If you are using coconut crunches like me, first tap the sachet with a rolling pin to chop.
  • Pour in the oil syrup, stir well to make a dough.
  • With a dessert spoon, place the slides of dough at a distance from each other (the cookies increase in diameter when baking).
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Transfer to cool on a wire rack.
  • BON APPETIT!
