Pork knuckle Delicious

Ingredients

Pork knuckle 1 kg
bulb onions 1 PC
carrot 1 PC
cooking water 2,5L
light beer 300ml
Spice:
Bay leaf 3-4 leaves
allspice 2 peas
black peppercorns 4 things
garlic 1 head
salt pepper taste
Sauce:
honey 1 tsp
soy sauce 3-4 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Rinse the chilled shank thoroughly and put in a 4-liter saucepan. Peel the onions and carrots and put them on the shank. Add lavrushka, peppercorns and a few cloves of garlic, cut in half, there. Pour everything with cold water and beer and cook for 1.5 hours.
  • Check the readiness of the shank with a fork, the meat should be soft, easy to pierce, but not fall apart.
  • Cut the remaining garlic into strips.
  • Take out the shank and stuff it with the remaining garlic, making small cuts in it with a knife.
  • Mix soy sauce with honey.
  • Put the shank in a baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Put in a preheated oven to 180g and bake until golden brown, occasionally pouring sauce.

I cook a shank, pečeno vepřevo koleno, in Czech, almost the same way, only I cook it longer, not until the meat is soft, but until the tendons are soft.
