Fennel - let's get acquainted!
Fennel salad

Fennel is a medicinal herb. It has a sweet, tangy taste. The composition of this drug includes - essential oils, anethole, limonin, pinin, fatty oils, etc. Fennel is considered a plant that is able to "feed" plasma, blood, muscles, and bone marrow. This drug has a positive effect on the digestive, nervous and urinary systems. In modern medicine, fennel has received the "title" of a medicinal plant, which has carminative, tonic, diuretic, analgesic, antispasmodic and expectorant properties.

Quite often, in order to lose those extra pounds, people turn to such a medicinal plant as fennel. The thing is that this plant is successfully used not only in medicine, but is also widely used in cooking.

A large number of people, especially women, consume as much fennel as possible due to its very good property - to stimulate metabolism. It is because of this effect that fennel is considered a "plant for weight loss". Many people know that with a very strong desire to eat, it is necessary to chew several seeds of this plant and there will no longer be any desire to consume sweets, which greatly spoil the figure. In modern pharmacology, tea was also created, which contains fennel seeds. It also contributes to the reduction of total human weight through its positive effects on the liver and pancreas by promoting the processing of fats and sugars.

Fennel uses not only greens and seeds for culinary purposes, but also tubers. Fennel greens have a spicy, sweet aroma vaguely reminiscent of anise. Young shoots add a subtle flavor to salad marinades, and are also readily used for canning vegetables, especially cucumbers and cabbage. Tubers are rightfully popular for cooking fish dishes, usually white fish (especially carp). However, you can find many recipes in which fennel is combined with poultry or pork. In addition, all parts of fennel are used as an additive for soups. Fennel growers go to the production of medicinal tea, infusion and liqueur.
