Ingredients

white grapes 1 kg
sugar 1.2 kg
vanilla
water 300gr
cherry leaves 40pcs
nuts (walnuts, hazelnut, cashews, almonds, Brazilian, peanuts 600g mixture of nuts

Cooking method

  • In 300 GR of water, boil 40 cherry leaves until a green color and a characteristic smell (tasty) appear
  • then add 800 grams of sugar and boil the syrup. Pour grapes with this syrup. Grapes can be taken with seeds, but not small. Let stand for a day, then put on fire and bring to a boil, adding another 200 g of sugar and all the nuts and boil for 10 minutes and set aside for a day again. After a day, add another 200 grams of sugar and boil for another 10 minutes. Before the end of cooking add the vanilla. Arrange in jars and roll up. Always cook the jam over low heat.

Note

The jam turns out to be really rich. The nuts are soaked in syrup and give off their own taste. Very unusual smell - cherry leaves, vanilla, nuts. I cooked it for the first time this year. I treated many friends, everyone noted it as tasty and unusual, and I will add beautiful. In short, lovers of piquant food - what they need!

I made this jam this year. It didn't work out, I won't. The color is dirty grayish-brownish with a lilac shade. Cashews are almost completely lilac, the rest of the nuts are just gray. Grapes in the form of sad khaki skins, the seeds are all syrupy and crunchy. Liquid jam, just sweet water, with vanilla, yes, but there is no nut component other than the nuts themselves. So, most likely, I will transfer the nuts to the filling in sweet pastries, and just finish the syrup with tea on the sly.
What is on the title picture for the recipe is after the first cooking, then it became sadder and sadder in appearance. Unfortunately, my photo does not reflect all his sadness.
