for such an amount of milk as you took, then 250-300g (maximum) of currants would be enough!
it turns out interestingly with berries - you throw in a little, and when you eat, the impression is that there are only berries! very tasty with strawberries yet. store packaging (400g) of strawberries is enough to make two batches for example. and it comes out very strawberry!

For sure. But I wanted absolutely berry. And expectations were met

Dara, I also sometimes make a berry with a high content of berries. A completely different effect. The main thing is delicious, and all markers are different in taste and color.

So should this currant be defrosted or not, or should it be chopped in a blender? and what if instead of a sugar substitute you just take sugar ... how much is it needed? Thank you

there are two options with currants how to make it:
1) Pass the currants through a sieve and add the resulting juice with pulp to whipped cream / yogurt / milk ...
2) just finely chop the currants in a blender (whether your mixer will take it - ice cream or not) - an option for an amateur, for example, my husband doesn't like that - it's too rough when he eats - the skins are not grinded into the water at all + small bones are felt.

I defrost it, but not completely, as I stopped being completely "stone" and ground it with a blender.
On sugar - here to your own taste, and it depends on currants. I had enough sweet, I think, if I put sugar - two tablespoons, well, maybe three (tablespoons).

ZHIRULKA correctly wrote: as it seems tastier, so do it. True, the skins were practically not felt, but the bones - yes. But they are so grumpy cool!
