Georgian cabbage

Ingredients

White cabbage 1 head of cabbage
fresh beets (not large) 1 PC
salt taste
vinegar 1-2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Chop the cabbage. Grate the beets on a coarse grater. Add salt and vinegar. Mix well with your hands. Let it brew for several hours and you can eat

Note

Sometimes I add one onion (finely chopped) at the stage of mixing cabbage and beets.

It is not necessary to make from a whole head of cabbage. Can be smaller - a plate for dinner, for example. But it eats up very quickly, so I immediately do more.

P.S. I'm not at all sure if this is exactly a Georgian dish. But for the first time 15 years ago I tried this cabbage under this name.
