Shaker Puri Cookies

Ingredients

Flour 3.5 cups
Butter 200 gr
Powdered sugar 1 glass
Egg 1 piece
Milk 0.5 cups
Baking powder 0.5 tsp.
Vanilla sugar 1/4 powder

Cooking method

  • In the original recipe, instead of baking powder, "Ammonium carbonate" is used, it is added along with vanilla sugar. Recipe from the book "All from flour" 1986








  • The butter is rubbed with powdered sugar, egg and milk, after which vanilla sugar is added. Mix the whole mass thoroughly, add flour with baking powder and knead the dough of a strong consistency. the dough is rolled out on the table with a rolling pin into a layer 1-1.5 cm thick and crescent-shaped figures are cut out.

  • Shaker puri is baked at a temperature of 220-2500C for 25-30 minutes.


  • I love this cookie very much since childhood, however, then they bought it ready-made.

  • Next time I will definitely make Altai Health from whole-grain flour, because my household loves these cookies very much and I often bake them

very fast and easy! I cooked for a child (2 years old), it went great. I made figurines with ikeevsky molds.
Made changes:
- instead of powdered sugar - a glass of sugar,
- I made the thickness of the dough 0.5-0.7 cm, as a result, it bakes faster at 180 g for 13-15 minutes.
- the kneading starts with an egg with sugar, and the rest is just a shaft, because there is little time.
