Fennel and herring salad

Ingredients

Herring fillet 1 \ 2 pcs.
Fresh cucumber 1 PC.
Fennel 1 tuber, medium
Apple - fresh, medium
Bulb onions 1 \ 2 pcs.

pickled or fresh
red or white
Dill, parsley,
greens with fennel, green onions
Vegetable oil for salad dressing

Cooking method

  • Cut the herring into pieces along the fish fillet.
  • Cut the cucumber and apple into cubes.
  • Cut the fennel into thin slices
  • You can take ready-made pickled onions (I have pickled red onions), you can pickle yourself. Cut into thin strips and pour a little aromatic vinegar and knead it - let stand while the vegetables are cut. Then squeeze off excess vinegar and add to the salad.
  • Dill greens, parsley, greens with fennel, chopped green onions.

  • We put everything in a salad bowl, fill with vegetable oil to taste, let it brew a little. You don't need to salt the salad !!! There is enough salt from the herring, it will give excess salt to vegetables!

Note

Delicious and light salad with herring, especially for those people who cannot eat salted herring for various reasons.
You can additionally serve hot boiled potatoes with this salad.
