Ingredients

Flour 380 g
Milk (room temperature) 200 ml
Salt 0.5 tsp
Sugar 4.5 tbsp. l.
Baking margarine 85 g
Yeast SAF-moment 2 tsp
Egg 2 pcs.
Vanillin 2 tsp
Candied fruit 60 g
Ground walnuts 1.5 tbsp. l.
Syrup:
Sugar 120 g
Water 200 ml
Rum 4 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • I put all the ingredients in the specified sequence in the HP in the "Dough preparation" mode. The resulting thin dough was laid out (without lubrication) in a silicone mold, leveled with a spatula, covered with a napkin and set for 10 minutes. for proofing in a microwave preheated to 60 degrees. She pulled out the form with the dough and, heating the microwave in the "Baking" mode to 190 degrees, baked for 50 minutes. Chilled a little and poured syrup over the whole rum-baba. I left the rum baba in a glass form to infuse in the syrup for 4 hours (the bottom was filled with syrup about 2 cm). Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving. You could fill it with fondant.

Note

Here's my baba. Very delicate and soaked. The rum gave a special flavor.

Panevg,
I understood correctly - did you bake in the microwave?
But I wanted to try it in the oven, as I understand it shouldn't be a problem, right?
and another question, but did you try to replace rum with cognac? Of course, in this case, you will not get a rum woman, but a cognac one. Or what is better to replace?

Natalie07, a microwave oven in Baking mode is the same oven, only with convection (although ovens are also often found with it now), so there should be no problems. The only thing is, if your bottom burns, then you can put a container with water under the baking, since the baking time is decent. When I baked a cake in KhP and there was no rum, I used cognac, but it does not give such a specific yellow-beige color and the same specific taste, especially since the cake is not impregnated with rum, but only added to the dough, and in a rum woman it is the most relish! Rum, of course, is not a cheap pleasure, but when it is consumed for Baba, 0.5 liters of baked goods should be enough for ten, no less. And so ... Go for it! Maybe it will.

I did it today, I will stay in the evening. I did it, by the way, with cognac
