Good day!
Long dreamed of a bread maker. Waking up to the smell of fresh bread, the crunch of French rolls and all that. And now (hurray, hurray!) Yesterday my friends gave me a Bork BM550 for my birthday!
Spent all day in the kitchen today ... Complete collapse ...
Three times I did the laying of simple bread, all seams.
1 time. Strictly according to the recipe. Yeast SAF-Moment. The dough has risen. Pale, damp, sticky inside. Chewed. The taste is bready, under-baked. Threw it out, went to read your forum.
2 times. Increased yeast, warmed milk more. Yeast SAF-Moment. It went up perfectly! Very nice! But ... Pale, damp inside, sticky. Chewed. The taste is bready, under-baked. Threw away. Went to call the Bork call center. We talked about nothing.
3 times. I replaced the yeast with SAF-Luver, took the milk fatter (3.5%), changed the brand of flour. The dough rose well. The result is the same. Pale, damp, sticky inside. Chewed. The taste is bready, under-baked.
Or am I stupid or go to the service center on Monday? Help me figure out what's wrong! Thank you all in advance!

Everything can be fixed in your situation, not all is lost

I can not know where and what you read on the forum, but start with this topic # and then carefully read the entire Kneading and Baking Basics section and the Baking Basics section. https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&board=22.0

It will definitely work out - I guarantee

Hello again everyone!
Inspired by the registration on your (now our) website, I did not sleep until 3 am, having made two more bookmarks. Some kind of shnyaga still happens. In the morning, having thrown out the 5th marriage, I sat down to analyze what was happening. Again he persistently returned to the idea that the problem with the stove's shade is for this reason. All five times in the output, I had absolutely the same result:
1. Well-fitting dough. Every time before the "Baking" cycle, I could not get enough of how beautiful everything was. Everything went up to the very top, it did not climb over the edges, the "lid" of the loaf was like a picture. It should be borne in mind that the ingredients changed (by brand), but the simplicity of the recipe was observed - liquid, flour, yeast. I took the last two recipes from the site.
2. In the process of baking, no cataclysms occurred. If the "lid" sank, then, let's say, with a margin of error, while remaining beautiful (I insist).
3. Upon completion of the process, each time it turned out the same thing, like a carbon copy. Namely:
a) the loaf was formed by itself and fell out of the bucket as a whole, without falling apart and keeping the shape as a whole;
b) the upper crust formed, that is, it became uniformly dense. Only not fried;
c) the whole loaf has a pale color;
d) a crumb has formed inside, has a porous shape and everything is like that. In general, what have I not seen crumbs?
e) each time the loaf was heavy and kind of wet, the crumb was sticky inside (if squeezed);
f) I have serious culinary experience and declare with responsibility - half an hour in the oven and bread will come;
g) the taste is always the same - unbaked bread. I bake pies, so I understand what I'm talking about (yes, my mother-in-law also can't get enough of how lucky her daughter is).
Output. With recipes with the same structure, but different proportions, different (by brand), but unchanged ingredients, a positive intermediate total (I mean the risen dough), the dry (more precisely raw) residue is the same - unbaked bread, with a formed, but not fried crust ...
What else if ten's unsatisfactory performance ?!
Ready for authoritative explanations. Thank you!
PS Forum read. Everything for beginners, etc. People have a problem - everything burned out! I would have half their problem and everything would be hockey!

Sashh , until Admin didn’t come, maybe insert a photo ??? This will make it clearer and more likely to help you. And the recipe is desirable too.
Sashh
With photos - oops! I didn't.
The recipes are as follows:
1. From the book of Bork. I did it three times - different weights and different brands of ingredients.
Milk 300 ml (400 ml)
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l (Borges, green jar)
Salt (invariably Belarusian 1 tsp.
Sugar (invariably Ukrainian 1 tsp.
Wheat baking flour (1st grade like Krasnodar (threw out the packaging), premium Rybinskaya)
Dry active yeast 1 tsp (Saf-Moment, SAF-Levure).
2. Admin Recipe from the Beginner's Guide. The first time I blew the kolobok, the second time I put it on a delayed start, adding a bit of flour and yeast.
Wheat flour (Rybinskaya) - 450 grams, or 3 measuring cups (3 x 150 grams = 450 grams)
Water - 270 ml, (60% by weight of flour)
Olive oil (Borges) - 2 tbsp. l. \ or 30 ml., \ or 30 grams
Salt - 8 grams, or 1.3 tsp
Sugar - 27-30 grams, or 1.8 tbsp. l.
Active dry yeast (SAF-Levure) - 4-5 grams, or 1.3 tsp.

Wheat baking flour (1st grade like Krasnodar (threw out the packaging), premium Rybinskaya)
And how much flour?
Sashh
3 and 4 measuring cups (for different weights of the loaf). The measuring glass was hung up - 150 gr.

Here is written the AMOUNT OF FLOUR AND OTHER. INGREDIENTS FOR PRODUCING BREAD OF VARIOUS SIZES:
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=1625.0

In your first case: sugar needs to be increased to 2 tbsp. l., yeast and salt - up to 1.5 hours. l. I would also advise you to try using live yeast.

Although we don't eat white bread, for the sake of experiment I can try to make bread EXACTLY according to your first option in your Bork. I will show you a photo. I will share my impressions!
Admin
Sashh, I came

I baked white bread from the Manual many times and checked the result many times, otherwise I would not have put it on the forum
Here is another version of white plain bread https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=83080.0, see here how the kneading and bun is done.
Or this recipe for white plain bread completely for the x \ oven https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=87833.0 and just do simple bread recipes from the Competition section https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&board=499.0 there are baked goods for your model x \ oven.

I can "watch" at the computer when you bake your bread, but for this, let's agree on a day and time together. And you will have to constantly take photos and exhibit here, otherwise it is difficult to draw conclusions from words.

Another recommendation:
Follow the author's vague recipe recommendation or instructions, the test doesn't care how much and what you put within reason. It is important for the dough to observe the balance of flour and water (liquid), the principle of "flour in water", and knead the correct dough.
And you can measure even with cans and glasses - the dough doesn't care!
A striking example of this is this bread from the competition. https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=90765.0, it turned out very clearly

Admin, hello!
I have no doubt that all your recipes have been tested. On the contrary, I wanted to say that even simple proven recipes give a negative result and, apparently, it's all about HP.
I've been a cook for a long time and I bake pies often. Testa changed everyone. I also have my own notes and observations here. I understand very well what you are telling me.
Yesterday, when I made a bookmark according to your recipe for the first time, I sat next to HP and watched the kolobok. HE REALLY RIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL came out. And by the time of the cycle "baking" everything was like in a textbook. In the end, it didn't bake only. The crust does not form at all. That's why I think that tsimes is a problem at this stage.
I thank you for the offer to bake it online I will use it, but later. I won't be able to do it this week, but from the weekend I enter the active stage of the move. Therefore, I will unsubscribe as I will be ready.
One more question for reflection - do you admit that KHP simply does not bother?
Thank you!
PS I am a stubborn man, the process hooked me.Now I will study another forum and make another bookmark according to a simple proven recipe. I will try to take a picture and post the result.

Thank you!

I admit this option too
But you have to prove it in Service. center. Therefore, you need to check yourself and take a number of photos in confirmation.

And now we will wait for the option of baking bread Omela, on the same x \ oven.

Then you will draw conclusions.
Omela
I report on the results of the experiment.

Milk 300 ml + 2D Art. l. to kolobok
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l
Salt 1 tsp dimensional
Sugar 1 tsp (hand did not rise - put 1st tbsp. l.) measured
Wheat baking flour 450g.
Dry active yeast 1 tsp dimensional

This is how the "kolobok" looked after all the products were laid in strictly according to the recipe:
Baking in Bork BM500

At the exit:
Baking in Bork BM500

Program No. 1, medium crust, weight 750g.

Looks like yours ???
Sashh
First, my respect and respect for your help!
Secondly, the gingerbread man is similar.
Thirdly, the result is similar only in form. Your wonderful crust on the sides, bottom and top is not forming for me.
Fourth, the cut is similar (the same porous), but you can see that the bread is dry. I have it on the cut, as it were, wet and if you slightly press down, it will not break back.

I can't boast of anything. For (you will laugh) in the midst of baking, the electricity in my house was cut off. The "Memory" function somehow didn't work. Therefore, in my kitchen it smells wonderful of cinnamon and a whole bucket of perfectly matched with an excess of dough. I think what to do with him.

Now, if I have enough, I will wash everything and try again ...

Immediately turn on the oven for 190 * and put a bucket of dough into it, you do not need to take out anything

If the dough fits well, then you can first preheat the oven for 10-15 minutes, and put the bucket in a hot oven

Is there any way to measure the temperature inside the pit in the "baking" mode?

And also, if you have a thermometer, stick it in the middle of freshly baked bread. If the loaf is below 90 degrees Celsius (experts, tell me how much should there be?), Then the glitch is still in the oven.

Well, not in the heat of the moment. I waited about 20 minutes. But the problem is that no crust is formed at all. Not fried and that's it.

It seems to me that after all, it's about the stove, since everything looks like Mistletoe ... If you go to the service center, take all the ingredients with you, you will bake there ... I'm serious ...
Rina
I do not know what opportunities you have there for acquiring something. Teskom has metal mechanical thermometers. There are electronic ones with a long probe. At least in bread it can be measured.

I saw in the Moulinex section how the heating temperature was checked using a tester with a thermometer function.

Sashh , in fact, 20 minutes is not enough, it is recommended to cut the bread after it has completely cooled down! I stood for 30 minutes and then reached for the knife. But since the crust does not form at all, then take pictures, if possible, get a temperature probe and go ahead - 🔗 to the service center !!!

The temperature probe was not found. I put my finger into the hole from under the knife. Hot!!!
Made by recipe Mistletoe in this topic, with one exception - the color of the crust was set "Dark".

I tasted it. Unbaked bread. Not critical, but it tastes good.
Rina
It seems to me that the conclusion will be unambiguous: the stove is underburned, service intervention or replacement of the unit is needed.
klila
The bread rises well, but is clearly not baked. You have not tried to check whether the baking time is the same as stated for this program in the instructions. As a rule, the instructions indicate how long each program lasts in time for kneading, raising and baking.
If the time is the same. then the stove clearly has problems with the temperature regime.

These two thermometers (or similar ones), not only for determining the temperature inside the bread, but also simply in preparing food, can be of great help.

Yes, everything matches ...

Sashh, yes, I already think, no need for a thermometer, do not waste your money! Everything is clear, manufacturing defects, feel free to hand over. This is the first time we see this!

Honesty tells me that you should not agree to repair this stove, but demanded a replacement for a new one.

Duc everything is as usual in such stores.
"We will take the stove to diagnose a manufacturing defect. Then either money, or a replacement ..."
In 2 weeks.
"The diagnostics showed that the bread machine is absolutely in good order ..." Which translates into human language as: "We have repaired it. Use it!"
I didn’t start downloading the rights, demanding and all that. If it was repaired well, thank God. No - we will sue. Education allows us to put retail chains in place in court. I sued Euroset 22.5 times more than the cost of the phone. (But this is a record - usually 5-6 times more.) And everything started as always: "We will take the phone to diagnose a manufacturing defect ..."
Korella
Sashh, go and replaced the board and that's it. In principle, what's the difference, if only it worked normally now.

I join those who have already stood waiting for your bread with the correct crust.

Or maybe try another guarantee?

Thanks for the support! The store is wrong. The money will now be returned for more than the cost of a bakery. It is a fact. It's a question of time.

Hello everyone. In August 2010, I also bought BORK 500 for myself, the bread did not work right away, a couple of attempts to do everything strictly according to the recipe failed with collapse. I went to the store, those for their examination, the examination gave the conclusion that the oven is working normally. I thought they probably repaired it, began to bake bread, again nothing happens. I took my bread maker and dragged it to Moscow for an independent examination. There we tried to bake bread with the staff, but it didn't work.I was given a conclusion: Based on the results of the organo-optical method of control and verification, it was established that the BORK bakery, due to the presence of the noted drawback due to a hidden manufacturing defect, does not correspond to the characteristics declared by the manufacturer by the manufacturer and cannot be used for its intended purpose, for a short time it was purchased by Dali 2 acts , I went to the store, there they again wasted time on my claims, and I wrote to them the last one, where I offered to resolve the issue out of court. She demanded to return not only the money for the stove, but also for the payment of the examination, travel for the entire period that I ran to them in the store, for examination, for the consultation of a lawyer, (I collected tickets) the payment to me and my husband of a working day when they drove the stove to examination, moral damage. They reacted quickly, their lawyer immediately contacted me and asked to confirm all the requirements, which I did. You see, the firm BORK is not pleasant to stain itself in court, they decided to meet me and hush up this case. A month later, from my purchase, they returned 7800 thousand for the stove and 8000 thousand. expenses. I'm glad. I went and bought a mulinesque with baguettes, I was glad for 4 months. Yesterday the motor was closed. New problems, but we must prove our rights and not make suckers out of us. An independent examination was carried out by the MOSCOW CITY BUREAU OF COMMODITY EXPERTISE. The name speaks for itself.

Olga, thanks for this post. I absolutely agree with you and do the same. The only BUT. There is absolutely no time to do this myself, so I went to the city society for the protection of consumer rights. This is their bread, at least here (in Vologda) they were glad to me and promised to "break" the seller. The algorithm was offered outright the same: an independent examination - pre-trial claims - a court.
Korella
Service, too, "break" would not hurt ... for such a "service".
OLGA.G
I also went to consumer protection, wrote a statement, but they did not help. They called me 2 weeks after I received the money from the store and then asked "" How are things with me? "And after our conversation they sent me an answer by mail that the store had returned the money. This was a month and a half later. I went to ROSPOTREBNADZOR, they promised help, then they threw up their hands, said “do an independent examination.” I went to the police department of the consumer market (they track gray goods, counterfeit), they might and could help me, but a situation has arisen: I take the stove after the shop examination. They call me and they say that under any pretext I did not take the stove and did not sign any acts otherwise they would not be able to help. And I signed the documents for 5 minutes and packed the stove. They also advised me for an independent examination. We must rely mainly on ourselves.By the way, today SC has dragged its Mulka motors to Moscow and they promised to fix the buckets in stock.
Sashh
Hurrah Hurrah!
The stove was returned, the cost, forfeit, interest and other expenses were collected.
Took Kenwood. Bake. Happened!!! I'm waiting for it to cool down!

Unfortunately, to all your horrors and ordeals, I have to add my own story. I decided to give myself a bread maker with money donated by my parents for my birthday in order to delight my own with delicious and aromatic homemade bread. And after all, I was going to buy specifically Panasonic, having "read" a lot of positive things about it on the Internet.
She spread it ... The seller in the store just threw it up, confidentially informing that she, they say, has personally been at home for 3 years already, and everything would be fine, but ... But the plastic lining turned yellow, the outdated buttons, they say (!) the lid breaks, but it cannot be found, that an additional spatula is required for rye bread, that there is only one form and, most importantly, it has a "plastic-metal" drive! It also struck me. But next to him, they say, what a handsome man in metal, with sensors, a beautiful display, two shapes, a German mark, etc.And most importantly, if something goes wrong, then you can easily change it, or return it within two weeks.
And I bought a BORK X500 (as I later found out, he's Gorenye 900AL, he's something else ...).
There was no bread. None at all. Neither on the main mode, nor on baking. But that's not all. Smell. This nasty smell when baking! Some kind of medical and technical. And the bread smells like that. And absolutely inedible. Only the dog was not averse. Neither the device nor the manual contains any information about the manufacturer. Only BORK and "Made in China". The lid heats up to an indecent temperature - after baking, you cannot open it by hand, only with an oven mitt. In general - ATAS.
Climbed into the network (only late), and there everything is crammed with warnings, like, "Caution - Bork". I read about the pseudo-German origin, and about all the ordeals and torments of people like me.
He dragged me to the store, wrote about the smell, about the disgusting quality of the bread. I thought that they would immediately return the dentgy, or replace it with Panas. Shchass! .. They said that they would bake and check. Shit some. Like, they will say that it doesn’t smell and that it’s delicious, but I’ll argue that it smells and you shouldn’t eat it? I called the information service of the trading network, they say that they have a "check" up to 20 days. I got it.

Spit on all their tests, go straight on the path of the consumer protection society or yourself through the bureaus of commodity expertise. Within 2 weeks after purchase, they must return the money or change without any "checks".
We need details of the hostilities - write, I will share.
Sashh
The only thing you need to prepare is that it will take 3 months.
envo
I am a stubborn person, especially if I am offended. And I was specifically offended. Not only did they sell shitty quality goods, under the guise and at the price of an airplane, but then also the sales assistant (who sits on commission from BORK) shamelessly lied in the eyes (when the next day I tried to return this "bread maker"), that did not promise the possibility of a hassle-free replacement, or a return within 2 weeks.
But okay, closer to the topic ... For several years, I myself have been working in the kitchen with an electric kettle (I bought it myself for the kitchen) and a toaster (presented) BORK. They worked for themselves, worked, without complaints. And what are the complaints? To make a kettle really bad, for example, today can only be a moron: a boiler - it is a boiler. Only the lazy does not let them out now. It's the same with a toaster - a heating coil with a timer. Only they cost, of course, crazy, in comparison with analogues, money. Well, okay, "show-off is more expensive", as they say, is still "premium class" equipment. However, not all so simple...
Digging around on the web, I discovered the following: the ill-fated bread maker BORK The X500 (aka BM500) has counterparts produced all over the world. BORK X500, aka - DOMO B3975, he is - Gorenje BL500, aka - UNOLD 68415, aka - BREVILLE BBM600. "Zhora, he's Gosha, he's Goga ...". Only there are all the doubles, in terms of rubles, in the range of 3500 - 4000. Maximum! And BORK - 9000 rubles. Great, isn't it? This, I am sure, is not yet a complete list ...
Maybe it's just such an outstanding bread maker that all manufacturers "tear it out of their hands"?
With a toaster, the same "parsley". Toaster BORK T700 (TM EBN 9910 BK), aka - BREVILLE CT70, aka - GASTROBACK 42404, etc.
It's the same with juicers.
It's the same with steamers.
It's the same with grills, stoves and everything. Absolutely. Do not be lazy, take a look on the Internet for yourself.
What a premium class there!
Everything from one cauldron "hatches" and spreads all over the world. And everywhere it is ECONOMY-CLASS technology. In China, you can buy this "for 5 rubles per bucket." And only in Russia there were businessmen (the owners of the Electroflot company, now Technopark) who decided to present this as some kind of premium-class equipment, selling this household appliance 2-5 times more expensive than its real value. It is as if "Muscovites" suddenly began to be sold in England under the Jaguar brand, and at the price of the latter.
It's all about marketing and advertising.
There is such a company in Hong Kong “Housewares International Limited” (HWI), which “specializes in the marketing, development and production of household appliances for the home all over the world”, as it is written on the only Russian website BORK (neither in Germany nor anywhere else is there BORK does not have a website). It is she who, for all sorts of international skiers, is engaged in the selection of cheap goods in beautiful packaging, placing orders for production and creating supposedly elite brands. BORK type.
And then I just quote from this site (it's worth it): “BORK comes from the German word” abborken ”, which means“ to remove the bark, to remove the bark ”. This is precisely the idea of the BORK business - to implement interesting ideas in the field of household appliances, to test and select only the best and highest quality of them (emphasis mine), "clearing" the market from copies of dubious quality. " Like this.
Translated from a bird's-eye view, this means that we do not develop anything, we do not produce anything, but simply take ready-made solutions, mold our own brand and sell it to you as something significant and serious. And the main thing is expensive. So to speak, "abborken" we you, sorry. “We take off the bark,” we strip it off.
It is a pity that the epiphany comes when he presses himself. Laziness is our ignorance. Well, look for information, read it, and then go shopping. Be careful friends.
