The magic pie.
Most often it is baked with apples, but the filling can be any dry product: nuts, prunes, dried apricots, for example.

Cut a pound of stale white bread without a crust into small slices. Whisk two or three eggs with a glass of milk and half a glass of sugar. Dip slices of bread into the resulting mass and place on a baking sheet, greased with butter and sprinkled with ground breadcrumbs. Apples, three hundred grams, peel, core, cut into slices, boil in sugar syrup for three minutes, remove with a slotted spoon and let cool. Non-acidic apples can be used raw, sprinkled with sugar. Place apples on bread and cover with another layer of bread. Bake in the oven. You can decorate the cake by sprinkling it with icing sugar and apple-jam apple slices. If the cake is baked with dried fruits, they must first be soaked and finely chopped.

Classic charlotte

60 g softened butter or margarine
12 slices of stale white bread
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
675 ml milk
70 g sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt
4 eggs

Preheat oven to 170 degrees. Grease a square glass dish. Spread butter on slices of bread. Place 4 slices of bread in a pan in one layer so that they slightly overlap one another. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, Repeat this, making 2 more layers. Use a whisk or fork to combine the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over pieces of bread and let sit for 10 minutes. Bake 55-60 minutes, until the knife comes out of the charlotte dry. Cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes. Serve warm or refrigerate to serve cold later.

WHEAT BREAD APPLE PIE

FIRST OPTION.

Stale wheat bread is grated, milk and beaten eggs are added. Peeled apples are cut into thin slices, sprinkled with sugar. On a frying pan greased with butter or margarine and sprinkled with ground breadcrumbs, put a layer of bread, on top - a layer of apples. Sprinkle with sugar, pour over melted butter or margarine (or spread them in pieces) or sour cream. Bake the cake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.

Optionally sprinkle with cinnamon (1/2 tablespoon) or sour cream (3 tablespoons) over this cake.

SECOND OPTION.

Slices of stale wheat bread are soaked in an egg-milk mixture and put them (half the norm) in a row on a baking sheet, greased with butter or margarine and sprinkled with ground breadcrumbs. The apples are peeled and rubbed on a coarse grater, sprinkled with sugar, laid on a layer of bread, and on them - a second layer of slices of bread.

The surface is poured with the remaining egg-milk mixture, poured with melted butter. Bake a pie in the oven. The hot cake is cooled, cut into pieces and sprinkled with powdered sugar or sugar.

Part of the butter, if desired, can be replaced with sour cream or cream.

Good afternoon everyone !!! I'm new here Only two days as a happy owner of a large Libertosha I have already mastered almost half of the messages from this forum for Libertosha lovers, thank you very much for the advice, they are already helping me a lot
Just tell me, please, this is how it should be, or is it still a marriage - I was cooking borscht today, when it was cooked, I opened the lid, and not only was it all in borscht, well, that is, in red water, so also from it (from the lid) began actively to the body in the place where the lid joins, pouring water from the lid, condensate, as I understand it ... The lid is non-removable, how to wipe it there, this water? I reasoned so logically that it means that something is probably wrong somewhere and not so ... You don't have that?
Rita
Condensation should flow onto the sides, because there is no drip tray. We'll have to get wet with a napkin. And the fact that the lid is in the borscht means that either a lot of liquid was poured, or the regime was too powerful.

Yeah, got it, thanks !!! And I really thought that it was he who was defective ... but as for the liquid, I didn’t seem to pour more than the maximum mark, I didn’t even refill it a bit ... but the mode was "soup", maybe I should have done it " to put the porridge?

The lid itself is not removable, but there is an aluminum inner lid that is removable and washable. I cook the soup on SOUP, pour the liquid up to the maximum mark - everything is OK

I confirm! The mushroom pie is delicious! Delicate inside and nice crust on the outside. The ketchup in the egg filling added a spicy note. I liked it, so in the coming days I will create this in my Panasik.
Girls, I recommend. It just prepares, without any problems with the dough, and the result is very good. And although in the original, as Katya said, there should be minced meat, I really liked it with mushrooms.
