Note

I found the recipe in a foreign blog.
These are my first scones in my life. Always passed them by. Not that I'm an esthete, but I've never liked their looks. And now I realized that I hadn’t baked them before! It may still depend on the recipe. These scones are gorgeous. Soft, aromatic. They taste like gingerbread. Recommend!

Angela, pumpkin, it's a pity only sage leaves are unlikely to find

Good scones, pumpkin Zasunduch I'll bookmark the recipe for now, I think I'll do it.
Tatyana, it's a pity you live far away, I would share the sage, I always have it, and in winter I get it out of the snow at the dacha
Angela,

Can be used dry. It is sold in pharmacies. A bit not that, of course, but also not bad. You can bake without it. Sage is a specific and highly aromatic herb. You may not even like it.

Galya, and for me the first year the sage grows. Loved him. You don't cover him with anything in the winter? Are you just leaving? Doesn't it freeze?
For the past years I have kept rosemary and thyme in a pot in the house. The whitefly got divorced last year. Full now in the garden. We cannot deduce anything. Therefore, she left everything in the ground so that she would not fly in the house. I haven't covered it yet. Now I'm afraid that it won't freeze.

Angela, I have been growing sage for several years. For the winter, I put spruce branches on top of it (you can cover it with lutrasil), then it is covered with snow. There have been no problems yet. Lavender also does not freeze, I have grown a huge bush, I also cover it with branches, and then with snow. There are two more types of thyme, this year will be the first winter, I'll see how it will survive the winter.

No, not dry.
And fresh leaves are very good to fry, very original taste, but, of course, in small quantities. Still, it has a very bright aroma, not everyone will like it.

I see my husband covered it with a plastic bucket. We already have frost, and the ground is bare. Thanks for the consultation.

Thanks a lot for the recipe. Made scones, but without sage. It turned out very tasty! And the truth is, like gingerbread. From the spices I used cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Children are delighted, tomorrow we will repeat! Only in the form of scones I will not bake anymore, I will make gingerbread. Very similar to pumpkin cookies, but captivating with the presence of whole grain flour. Fast and delicious!

Ooooooooo and I cut off and dried mine, I didn't even know that it was so frost-resistant. Lavender grows all the time on the street in the front garden, what will happen to it, and all these thyme-sage seem to be so tender, and they don't really grow in a pot at home.

pumpkin puree 110 g.
Angela, tell me please, pumpkin puree means baked, chopped, or can you add fresh pumpkin on a grater?
Ketsal
Angela, thank you very much for the delicious recipe! Pumpkin Whole Grain Scones with Sage... A little nakosyachila - there were only 90 Grams of butter at home, and I kneaded a double portion. A total of 90 g creamy and 90 g vegetable, reduced sugar in two, added 1 tsp with a slide of honey, the shelf was lost - I poured lavender. The dough was liquid, I added flour. And yet it is fragrant and tasty! Your baked goods cannot be spoiled

OlgaI'm glad I liked the result. Lavender should be good too.

The dough was thin
Well, that's understandable. Honey and vegetable oil. The main thing is that the result is satisfying. I hope that everything and the recipe will someday be)
