I kneaded the scraps of dough, rolled them into a thin sausage, rolled the sausage with a rolling pin and put it on top of the puff. She fastened the edges (I don't know if she explained it clearly?), Greased it with an egg, and sprinkled it with sugar a little more.
Baked in the oven.
Not as beautiful as the author's, but very tasty! It was necessary to give time for proofing, but I could not stand it, I really wanted to try it!

It was like this - when my husband came home from work (and he, although on vacation, will come home from work at 8 o'clock) I wanted to bake something high-calorie, but tasty. And then your puffs are so beautiful! Remembering that I had dough in the freezer, I immediately decided that this method of forming puffs was very interesting to me and had not yet been used. I took out the dough, prepared one sheet for defrosting, and put the second back. But there were no lube eggs! And I went to the nearest shop to buy an egg and fruit. On the way, I remembered that I still had plums frozen from last year, and decided that I would not buy fresh fruit. Arriving home, I started looking for boxes of plums .... but there are none! And then I remembered that I recently did not put the leftover plums into baking, but cooked mini-jam ... I started further rummaging in the freezer - cranberries, more cranberries, lingonberries, black currants ... currant.
With medium-sized forms for dumplings, Berner cut out 8 large circles for the base and made another circle in which I made a hole with the smallest shape, thus obtaining a "circle-border" - this puff is clearly visible, it is one so even. But I quickly realized that such a luxury - I could not see even circles, there is no more even dough, but there are only leftovers, I began to roll long thin "sausages" and mold them into circles. The dough was enough for me! And everything looks quite neat.
I gape a little with baking - I sat down to work and ..... they turned out a little darkish. Sprinkled on top with homemade icing sugar and .....
