Ingredients

peeled pumpkin 0.5KG
sugar 400-500 gr.
lemon 1 pc. (100 gr)
vanillin pinch
water option

Cooking method

  • Peel the pumpkin, cut into cubes and simmer over low heat until soft (if the pumpkin is not juicy, add some water as needed), then crush the pumpkin pieces with a fork or crush (you can break it with a blender), add sugar, juice squeezed from lemon, vanillin and cook for 25-30 minutes until thick, not forgetting to stir.
  • If we prepare jam for storage, then put it boiling in pre-sterilized jars, roll it up and wrap it up for 10-12 hours. Jam needs to be infused, then the taste of pumpkin is not felt.
  • I do not store this jam, I cook in small portions but 300 gr. pumpkins for adding to yoghurt, pancakes or pancakes, I really like it and just eat it with white bread and milk.
