Ingredients
Melon 1 kg
Strawberry 600 g
Sugar 500 g
Honey 5 tbsp. l.
Water 200 ml
Cooking method

1. Peel and seed the melon, cut the pulp into cubes. Wash the strawberries, remove the stalks. Cut each berry in half.
2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Put on medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Add honey to the syrup and bring to a boil over high heat.
4. Put fruits in boiling syrup, bring to a boil again.
5. Reduce heat to low and cook, skimming for 30 minutes.
6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, close and store.

True, by personal example, I have not yet encountered such a situation. There is a separate Temka about storing jam, in particular, cooked in cotton. I was lucky that I stumbled upon it in time, otherwise my jam would "cry" (for long-term storage) ... otherwise I saved it.

I cooked melon jam with strawberries, the procedure was a little different, because I cooked it with jaundice. First, I boiled the melon + strawberries in 200 ml of water with 2 tablespoons of sugar and a bag of gelatin, and then added all the rest (according to the recipe) sugar. I cooked in a basin, too much food for HP.

Banaaan !!! This is my favorite melon jam !!! Catch the recipe:

melon - 750g
bananas - 400g
granulated sugar - 800g
lemon - 2 pcs.
Vodka for wetting paper disks (I ignored this point)

Wash the melon, pat dry, cut into 4 pieces. Cut off the peel, remove seeds, veins, cut into small pieces. Now put the melon in a large bowl along with the sugar. Cover with a napkin and leave overnight. Then put everything in a saucepan, add lemon juice (1 lemon), stir. Simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, wash the second lemon, pat dry, cut into very thin cups.Peel the bananas and cut them into slices. Add lemon and bananas to the melon and cook over medium heat until all fruits are soft (almost puree). Then turn up the heat, keep cooking until the jam thickens.

When it's ready, remove from heat, remove foam, refrigerate. Place in sterile jars. Cover the jam (inside each jar) with a round, porous paper disc dipped in vodka, then close the lid.


I also love very much melon jam with apples:

For 1 kg. shelled melon:
0.3-0.5 kg. apples
0.3-0.5 kg. Sahara
0.5-1 tsp lemon zest

Ripe melons to remove peels and seeds. Chop and grind at random in a blender or turn through a meat grinder.
Pour the mass into an enamel container, add sugar and cook on the lowest heat until you get the consistency of young honey. Remove foam from cooking.
Peel and cut hard juicy apples into small cubes.
Pour into the melon mass.
