  • Biscuit roll LaceFirst you need to select and print on paper an image that we will apply to the biscuit. I found on the Internet an image of a tree and snowflakes in the form of lace. You can choose any image you like.

Note

The pattern on the roll looks like real lace. I made this roll for Christmas, so I chose the images of a tree and snowflakes. You can choose any image you like and transfer it to the biscuit.
This roll is perfect for a festive tea party. The roll is not only beautiful, but also very tasty, thanks to the cream of whipped cream and condensed milk.

very beautiful biscuit, but it is not yet clear how the drawing was applied ((

kavminsMarina is just the first ten points of the master class and explains how to make a drawing!
Rodaria, thanks for the interesting and descriptive recipe! I will definitely do it.

Rodariawhat a beautiful roll! Thanks for the master class!

Very nice roll turned out! The drawing idea is just great! Thank you)

Very nice! And if you use beet juice instead of food coloring, because the coloring is not available?
Tumanchik
Many thanks to the author! Very useful!

Rodaria, great idea! Looks very elegant!

I don’t use dyes either, and thought of cocoa instead. It will, of course, not be so bright and elegant.

Gorgeous
Cool design idea, so you can not only decorate a roll, but also a biscuit cake
Thanks for the idea and master class

Rodaria, in the last photo it seems to me, or is it - the drawing is not flat, but convex? Have you painted it over the biscuit again with cream? Or how to get such a convex pattern with a flat baked biscuit surface?
Zhannptica
Rodaria, congratulations on the first recipe, and even with such a spectacular one)))

Will not be. Drawing on paper, then it was filled with dough, from below the paper will make everything flat. And then they turned it over and suddenly the drawing became convex. How so? I already baked such rolls, made stains with chocolate dough and filled it with white dough, beautifully. But at the same time, the resulting biscuit was completely flat, the pattern was not convex. Here the technology is the same, but the result is different. Or am I having optical illusion?
Irina F
Most likely, the drawing was applied again after baking. On closer inspection, it looks very much like a cream, the porosity of the biscuit is not visible.
Well, let's wait for the author)

It is really convex, in the last photo the shadow is visible on the left. Maybe because he stood in the refrigerator? Has it hardened a little? Rodaria, very beautiful. You are well done
Caprice
Sorry, already figured it out
Waist
Very impressive! And with the convexity, nothing is clear How?
Scarecrow
The dough for decoration and biscuit is different. That is, their texture is also different after baking / cooling. Does this affect the final result?

In any case, you need to try and everything will be clear ..

Tyngysohka, just the pictures were not visible at first, but now I understand - they are already visible !!!
Rodaria, thanks, very, very beautiful !!!

I did it several times, I put a Teflon mat on a baking sheet. From the total mass of the dough, I took a small part and mixed cocoa into it. I even did it through stencils with a thin layer by means of a squeegee. (If anything, I have the highest qualification in screen printing of printed circuit boards of electronics). The print came out. but precisely because of the different densities of the main and pigment layers, the pattern was most often just convex. Pampered several times. I even bought a Bon Appetit stencil. Now I bake without inscriptions.

I have never used beet juice as a colorant, you can try it, but I think the color will not be as bright.

The drawing really turns out to be a little convex, I did not apply any cream on top. This is the meaning of this recipe, to get a drawing on a biscuit without using cream. The pattern remains on the surface of the biscuit, the pattern dough is thick, it hardens in the refrigerator and remains on the surface when baked. The composition of the pattern dough is different, so there is no porosity on it, like on a biscuit.

RodariaThanks a lot for the clarification! All clear)

Rodaria, thanks for the great idea!

This is how I did it

Biscuit roll Lace Biscuit roll Lace I know and see my shoals

My paper is not suitable, everything is wrinkled

The pattern is really convex, as if velvety on the surface of the biscuit

Biscuit roll Lace

In the morning in my kitchen there was only +16, and naturally, "decent" butter in a non-whipping state, especially when only 20 grams is needed: - The butter and protein stratified and had to be slightly warmed up in a water bath, until it was evenly mixed.

The nozzle I had was PME tube # 2. Painted Wilton

I think many people know about saving pastry bags

I don't know about juice, but I tried to dye beetroot and spinach powder - fine ! Only the powder must first be mixed with protein to obtain a liquid dye, and then mixed with a drawing dough, otherwise it will be a very dry mixture, which I did.

Since I just wanted to try it, I mixed quite a bit and first put one mixture into the nozzle with a toothpick - I drew green. Then I washed the nozzle and put the red dough into it with the same toothpick. In the bag itself, there is the bulk of the drawing mass, so at the end it climbed onto the burgundy beet flower

Light, the biscuit itself, when it cools, settles, becomes denser, and the drawing mass remains. And not flat, because under the picture the paper becomes slightly limp while you draw, and it is already not flat on paper + a crumbling biscuit and a relief is obtained. In any case, this is exactly what I observed.

You need good paper, I tried 2 of my own ...
On a brown baked rectangle. It worked well when the biscuit was still warm, but small thin elements still remained on the paper in places. I took a photo, but it is not uploaded to the gallery. It's probably better to choose a large drawing and paint it with a thick layer.
But on white paper. Has completely cooled down and as a result barely removed it along with the picture

Something I wrote a little Probably forgot something

I forgot all the same

A rectangular layer of baked cake measuring 25 x 35 cm. I left a third of the dough to bake a round cake with a pattern for testing, because I thought a thick layer of biscuit would come from the full norm. But after the biscuit was compacted, I think it was necessary to smear the entire norm into a rectangle.
The roll was folded along the short side.

Natalia, here is a clever girl! I told everything in such detail! I want to repeat! I'll torture you tomorrow!

Rodaria, made a roll. I used apricot jam as a filling. Delicious! Very light and airy, it melts right in the mouth! The drawing can be said to have turned out if I, you bastard, did not forget to grease the paper with oil. Therefore, I had to practically tear off the biscuit from the paper. Of course, the vidocq still turned out, but it did not affect the taste in any way. Thank you so much!
Tumanchik
Anna, and I'm even better! the roll was speckled, but I forgot about the drawing
have to repeat. home demand with a picture
