There is definitely this method in many recipes - I agree with confidence! The fact is that the temperature inside the terrine will not rise above, say, 90 degrees (if not 80), and gelatin, if I understand correctly, is destroyed by boiling.

I think it is better to exclude than to put currants. It may taste good, but I agree with Anna67that will color and lubricate the entire effect. You need something sour. There is enough sweetness here due to peppers, dried apricots and carrots. Again, I agree that you can have lingonberries or tangerine peeled from all films.

Of course, not as beautiful as yours, but everyone liked it. And the most important indicator of a tasty treat is that it is gone!
I cooked in a bread form. I was in a hurry and missed that the fish had to be divided into 2 parts. I got it in one. There was one mackerel (it is white) and a salmon (Far Eastern), a lot of peas thumped, next time I will put less and I didn't have cranberries (only with honey).
It prepares very quickly and is not difficult.

I was in a hurry, preparing before leaving for the station, to meet my youngest daughter with children. And even in such a hurry, everything was prepared very tasty and not difficult at all. Of course, I couldn't wait to try. I cooked it in the morning, and at lunchtime we already ate it. Freeze on the street at minus 4.
I liked mackerel more in the cake, it is fatty and juicy.
