Whitefish in lavash

Ingredients

Whitefish fillet (I have a telapia) 400g.
Armenian thin lavash 3 sheets
Bulb onions 2 pcs.
Vegetable oil 2st. l.
Zest of 1 lemon
Tarragon fresh 30g.
Salt pepper taste
Ghee for lubrication

Cooking method

  • Cut the fish into pieces the size of a business card:

  • Chop the peeled onions and tarragon leaves. Remove the zest from the lemon. Salt and pepper the mixture, add vegetable oil:

  • Put the fish in the marinade, mix:

  • Cover with plastic wrap and leave in the refrigerator for at least 5-6 hours. I left it overnight.
  • Cut off the thick edges of pita bread, cut into strips equal to the width of the fish (it is more convenient to cut with scissors). Put a piece of fish along with the marinade on one edge, wrap it in a roll:

  • Place the finished rolls in a greased form. Grease the rolls liberally with melted ghee:

  • Bake in an oven preheated to 180C for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. I also added 5 minutes at 200C.
  • Serve hot with lemon wedges.

  • Divine !!! : nyam: Whitefish had to be replaced with telapia (may the Armenians forgive me), because in winter it is impossible to find something else. I will definitely try with whitefish if possible. In general, any fish without a pungent smell is suitable here. Recommend!
