Banush in Transcarpathian style

Ingredients

Corn flour 100 g
Sour cream 1 glass
Cream 1 glass
Fat 100 g
Fresh mushrooms 100 g
Brynza 50 g
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • Cut lard into cubes and fry, periodically draining the melted fat, in a hot frying pan. Fry peeled, washed and chopped mushrooms on some of this fat. Ideally they are white, but I have champignons. Grate cheese with a coarse grater. Boil sour cream with cream in a thick-walled kettle and, stirring constantly, add corn flour. Cook with stirring, avoiding lumps, until the porridge lags behind the walls of the pot. Put the prepared porridge on a dish and pour the cracklings, mushrooms and feta cheese on top. Bon Appetit!
