Sand rings with peanuts

Ingredients

Butter (or margarine) 200 g
Sugar 130 g
Vanilla sugar 10 g
Flour 350 g
Egg 1 PC
Egg yolk 1 PC
Salt pinch
Baking powder 1 tsp
Peanut 100 g

Cooking method

  • Add sugar to softened butter (or margarine). Rubbing.
  • Add vanilla sugar, an egg, baking powder, a pinch of salt (required !!!).
  • Beat everything with a mixer or blender. If these devices are not available, mix well by hand until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add flour
  • Knead a soft dough. We send it to the refrigerator for 40 minutes.
  • In the meantime, cut off strips of parchment to the width of the larger form for sand rings. Since I have 14 finished rings, then you need to cut 7 strips.
  • Roll out a piece of dough on parchment about 7 mm thick.
  • Cut out the ring in a larger shape.
  • I formed the cloves using a metal muffin pan. If you don't find anything, then you can do without teeth.
  • With a glass (or other shape) with a diameter of about 2-3 cm, cut out the middle.
  • We send the formed rings to the freezer for 20 minutes. Thanks to this technique, the rings will be easier to handle in the future.
  • I prepared the peanuts in advance. Fried it and peeled it off. Grind the nuts with a rolling pin without fanaticism.
  • Separate the yolk from the protein, beat well.
  • Spread the frozen ring with yolk.
  • Let's "dip" into the nuts. And we return it back to the parchment.
  • We spread it on a baking sheet. We bake at 180-200 degrees for 12 minutes. It is advisable to avoid browning.
