Ingredients

Ready-made yeast puff pastry (I had yeast-free, starry) 1 pack
flour 1.5 tablespoons
Milk 0.5 liter
Egg 2 pcs
Granulated sugar 150 g (100 + 50)
Raisins 250 g
Cognac or rum (optional) 50 g
Yolk 1

Cooking method

  • Delicious buns!
  • Soak the raisins in the cognac.
  • Pour milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Beat eggs with granulated sugar until frothy, add flour. Pour 1/3 of the hot milk into the beating bowl in a very thin stream, without stopping the mixer, very carefully so as not to brew the eggs. Then, pour the resulting mixture into the remaining milk in a saucepan. Cook the cream for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  • While the cream cools down, roll out each layer of puff pastry.
  • Grease the dough with cream, sprinkle abundantly with raisins, wrap in a roll and cut with a very sharp knife into rings 2 cm thick. If the dough is yeast, then you need to distance it for about 20 minutes. I had a yeast-free one, therefore, I skipped this stage.
  • Place on a baking mat or baking paper, cream leaks. Press down a little with your hand, brush with yolk.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  • While baking, boil sugar syrup - 50 grams of water, 50 grams of sugar. Brush the hot buns with sugar syrup for shine!
