Ingredients

Sauerkraut 250 g
Fresh cabbage 750 g
Salt pepper
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • We only need 2 ingredients, oil for frying and a little salt and pepper. We turn on the multicooker to the Fry program and set the time to 30 minutes. Pour vegetable oil into the bowl. As soon as it warms up, put in the sauerkraut. It is very important that we put the sauerkraut in the bowl first. We close the lid and wait 5 minutes. Stir the cabbage in a bowl and pour the chopped fresh cabbage on top. Close the lid again and wait 5-7 minutes. Stir the cabbage, add a little salt and pepper. We close the lid. Stir the cabbage periodically for the next 20 minutes. If fresh cabbage is not very juicy, then a quarter glass of water can be added 3-5 minutes before the end of the program. I didn’t add. After the end of the program, stir again and leave on heating for 10 minutes. That's it! Bon Appetit!

This recipe was shared with me by an American acquaintance with Polish roots. This is how cabbage was prepared in poor families in the settlements where her ancestors lived. Their family still cooks this dish. I am not a meat lover and for me this is a very acceptable recipe. I always cooked it in Jamie Oliver's Homecooker, and with the purchase of this multicooker I tried it and I liked it. The Frying program in this multicooker is very decent. The food is actually fried, not steamed. As you can see in one of the photos, 8 minutes before the end of the program, the cabbage has already acquired a wonderful color. I know that on our site there are a lot of stewed and fried cabbage recipes, but try this one. You will not regret!
