Lingonberry pie (option with apple and cinnamon) on puff pastry, baked in the oven

Ingredients

Puff yeast dough 4 plates
Fresh lingonberry 500 gr.
Sugar 150 gr.
Honey 1 tbsp. l.
Vanilla sugar 1 tsp
Butter 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Defrost the dough. Cut baking paper to a size equal to the baking sheet + 2 cm on all sides. Spread baking paper on the table, take 2 dough plates and place side by side in the center of the paper. Then roll out the dough from the center in all directions. I like this method, in this case the dough is evenly distributed over the entire surface and the seam between the plates is not noticeable. Then transfer the baking paper along with the rolled dough to a baking sheet. Fold the remaining edges of the baking paper, making the sides.
  • Prepare the filling. Wash the lingonberries in a colander and drain. Put butter and sugar in a frying pan, heat until sugar is lightly caramelized. Add lingonberries and boil until the juice disappears completely. Then cool, add vanillin and honey.
  • Spread the filling evenly on the prepared dough. Cut the remaining 2 dough plates into strips 2 cm wide, roll them out a little in length. Cut the strips almost to the middle of the width along the entire length at intervals of 1 cm. Place 4 such strips on the edges of the cake instead of sides, and lay the rest on the surface of the cake in the form of an arbitrary pattern.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees until golden brown.
  • Alternatively, instead of lingonberries, honey and vanillin, you can use apples with cinnamon as a filling. Take 4 apples (peeled, cored and cut into medium cubes), 1 tsp. cinnamon. All other proportions and cooking method are the same. You can use cane sugar instead of regular sugar, but then you can increase its amount to taste.

Pies according to this recipe are good for baking in autumn with fresh lingonberries and apples. And they are also very suitable for the Christmas holidays (in this case, lingonberries are used already frozen)
