Ingredients

broth (water) 2,5L
pearl barley 1/2 mstk
potatoes 2 pcs
carrot 2 pcs
onion 2 pcs
tomatoes 2 pcs
sausages (sausage, ham, meat) 100g
starch 1 tbsp. l.
processed cheese 2 pcs
grated hard cheese 50g
Bell pepper 2 pcs
oregano (oregano) 2 tsp
salt, pepper, herbs
tomato paste 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • In the 90s, the so-called "Russian pizzas" appeared - bread cakes smeared with transparent starchy ketchup, sprinkled with grated carrots with thin petals of tomatoes, sweet peppers, sausages and grated melted cheese on top. All this was generously sprinkled with oregano. And it was delicious (or so it seemed :-)). This, of course, little resembled real pizza, but it was eaten faster than it. And this soup was born. Put pearl barley into the boiling broth, after 10 minutes add finely chopped or grated vegetables, salt and after another 5 minutes add tomato paste and starch diluted in a small amount of water. Grate the melted cheese and hard cheese and, along with chopped sausages and oregano and black pepper, add to the boiling soup and stir well until smooth. Turn it off and let it brew. Serve with fresh herbs. The soup is consumed at an incredible rate.

Note

I cook in the Steba pressure cooker on the "soup" program 0.7 for 8 minutes. I lay it all at once. After unblocking, I mix well and let it brew for 30-40 minutes.
