Ingredients

Medium sized tomatoes 2 Kg
Bulb onions 2 pcs
Bell pepper 2-3 pcs
Cilantro greens 1 bundle
Garlic 3-5 teeth
Vegetable oil 100 g
Vinegar 6% 100 g
Sugar sand 100 g
Salt 2 tablespoons without a slide
Bitter pepper 1-2 pcs

Cooking method

  • Tomatoes, greens are good for me. Pepper, onion, garlic, peel.
  • Cut the tomatoes (I had 1.5 kg) into 4 parts, cut off the "ass" (sorry, I don't know how this part is called names, maybe the stalk? "
  • We put it in a 3 liter jar or tray of a suitable size.
  • Cut pepper, onion into rings or half rings (as you like). We put it in the same container. I cut hot pepper and added 1 pod, but it was large
  • Finely chop the garlic and cilantro.
  • Prepare the marinade from oil, vinegar, sugar and salt. Add peppercorns and your other favorite spices if desired.
  • There is a nuance here, i.e. 2 cooking methods:
  • 1 way. Cold. all marinade ingredients are simply mixed and poured into the salad. The container closes tightly, shakes well (so that the vegetables mix), turn the jar over and put it on the neck. We leave in this position until morning. In the morning we turn over (the top layer is quite ready for use), put it in the refrigerator. By lunchtime, the lower layers will be ready.
  • Method 2. bring the marinade to a boil and pour the salad hot. We close the can. Shake well. Put it in the refrigerator after 1-2 hours. The salad is ready in 4-5 hours. I am using this method.
  • my husband really likes this salad. I did it for the second time in a week.
