Ingredients

Honey 300 grams
Fast acting yeast pinch
Hop cones (ground) 5 grams
Raisins 50 grams
Mulled wine mix Heaped tablespoon
Boiled water ~ 1.7 liters

Cooking method

  • I decided to cook something in Orsyusha, according to the booklet attached to it. Recipes for kvass put me out of balance by the fact that almost all of them contain semi-finished products (concentrate of kvass wort), and I was offended by them. And then I came across a recipe for mead, but I must say that my honey is wonderful, they send me from the Caucasus. It is super eco-friendly and never skinny. There, the bees who treat me to them do not see sugar in my eyes. It is fragrant, tasty and very healthy.
  • Having rushed around Moscow in search of hop cones, I bought them at the pharmacy across the road, obliquely, from my house. And she was mentally and financially ready to cook mead.
  • Everything is done once or twice.
  • I will erase everything from what and what I will cook: a two-liter Orsyushin jar, a lid, a whisk, and spoons.
  • I immediately pour some water into the jar.
  • A little about water. I'm a nasty woman. I boil the water, and then pour it into the ice maker, and the ice already obtained is thawed in a jug with an ionizer (silver elephant). And from this water I cook, especially where raw water is absolutely required.

  • I add all the honey and stir it thoroughly with a whisk, pour in the yeast, literally a few grains fit into my pinch. I stir, then add raisins, hops, and at that moment it turned out that I had no cinnamon ... I had to get out with the help of a mulled wine set (I must say that it contains mostly toto, one cinnamon is). I mix everything, add water so that there is a little air gap between the lid and the liquid. I close the lid.
  • I send the can into a warm bear hug (I put it in the fermenter body). Kvass mode, and anxiously awaiting the result.
  • During the preparation, I naturally peeped through the transparent lid for the process, the mead froth a little, fermented slightly, at some point I felt a kind of wine-leavened spirit. Then, I even opened the lid a couple of times and sniffed. On the eve of removing the jar, there was still something wandering around. The fact that the process is over, Orsusha announced when I was at work. Mom strained the mead and put it in a sealed container in the refrigerator. After five days, it turned out to be delicious.
  • Taste, how to explain ... Honey kvass, with light spicy notes, tingles the tongue and palate a little. I did not feel the degree. If there is, then 5-7 °. We liked. Next time I'll change the recipe completely.
  • What is not clear - ask, otherwise I was in a hurry, it's time to get ready for work.
