Quick Strawberry Jam (MB Steba DD1)

Ingredients

fresh strawberries * 900 g
sugar 800 g
lemon juice 2 tbsp. l.
ground nutmeg pinch
vanilla sugar 0.5 tsp
cinnamon pinch

Cooking method

  • The recipe is never new, but the cooking technology impressed me a lot. My family is very fond of all kinds of jams and preserves, but "let stand for 8 hours, boil, remove from heat, stand for another ... hours, boil again ..." - well, this is not mine. dishwashing I'm lazy in general
  • So, wash the strawberries, leave only whole, not spoiled berries, peel off the tails. Cover with sugar and let stand for 2 hours. I immediately did it in the multicooker bowl. After two hours, pour lemon juice on top, sprinkle with spices. Put to cook on the "Soup" mode, pressure 0.7 for 30 minutes.
  • Pour into prepared jars, cool and refrigerate.

Note

I needed more syrup. Therefore, I limited myself to the specified cooking mode. As a result, I got a liter jar (strawberry + syrup) and another 0.5 liter separately. a jar of syrup only.

If you want to get the consistency of jam, then at the end of the regime and relieving the pressure, put the jam on the “frying” mode for another 15 minutes until the syrup evaporates by half, it is better to keep the lid obliquely.

I cooked it completely from apples like you did from strawberries, at the end I boiled for 5 minutes, the apples were not transparent, then I realized that it was possible not to evaporate, the apples then sank themselves and the jam thickened a lot. I added water to the apricots and cherries, there was no time to wait until the juice was siphoned off, by 1.5 kg. berries were enough 50 ml. Cherry apparently because with seeds, it turned out just class, it did not even fall apart.

Of the apricots, by the way, there will be a cool jam, if you wipe it, everything fell apart, even the skins were almost not felt, they were still small, and the syrup was just mmmmm. I plan to cook more plums in August, I'll unsubscribe.

Raspberries I did not stand "for juice", taking into account the first experience, added only 20g. water. Everything is according to the recipe, "soup" 0.7b - 30 minutes, I opened it as the float itself went down. Evaporated for 10 minutes (3 minutes "frying" - 2 we rest, again 3 minutes "frying" - 2 we rest, so that it does not run away) and it was very liquid at the exit. After cooling, the jam turned out to be a consistency like a beautiful one from a store, well, or like a good jelly.
But with the plum it turned out not quite according to the program. I cooked it 2 times. I did not add water to it, it stood with me for 1 hour in total. The truth turned out to be very "runaway" (when cooking 1.5 kg (I have a 6-liter Shteba), the jam rose to the silicone ring !!!) And the next time I cooked the plum on "porridge", there is more aggressive heating and it closed faster, not managed to get ready to escape
Then I evaporated like raspberries for 10 minutes.
