Bird cherry cake (cover recipe)

Ingredients

milk 1 grain. stack.
bird cherry flour 1 grain. stack.
sugar 1 + 1 grain stack.
eggs 2 pcs.
sour cream 20% (15%) 1 grain. stack.
soda 1 tsp
loosened. 0.5 tsp
salt pinch
flour 2 grain. stack.
vanillin 2 pack.

Cooking method

  • 1) Boil 1 glass of milk and pour 1 glass of bird cherry powder over it. Mix thoroughly and leave to swell for 2 hours.
  • 2) After this time, mix 1 cup of fine granulated sugar with the bird cherry mass.
  • 3) Beat 1 glass of sugar with 2 eggs in a separate container.
  • 4) Add to the beaten eggs 1 cup sour cream + 1 teaspoon slaked soda + 0.5 teaspoon baking powder + a pinch of salt + 2 cups flour + vanillin.
  • Beat everything just before combining the products.
  • 5) Stir in the brewed bird cherry mass to the flour mixture.
  • 6) Preheat the oven to 175 - 180 degrees.
  • Grease a baking dish with butter or margarine. Put the dough in it and bake for 40 minutes until dry.
  • (Since the dough, more likely, resembles a muffin cake, cracks may appear on the surface of the finished cake during baking, like a cake. But, shallow, don't let that scare you!)
  • 7) When ready, remove the cake pan from the oven. Turn on a wire rack and cool completely.
  • 8. Cut the cake into 3 layers. Saturate, preferably with Amaretto liqueur, or rum or cognac slightly diluted with water.
  • 9) Beat 300 grams of 20% - 25% sour cream with 0.5 cups of sugar and coat the cakes with sour cream.
  • Stack them on top of each other. Pour generously with the rest of the cream and put in the refrigerator overnight to combine the flavors.
  • But, I suggest you assemble the cake in a slightly different way.
  • Also cut the main cake into 3 layers.
  • Soak all the cakes with alcohol or a flavoring agent to taste.
  • Leave one cake whole and cut the other two into medium sized cubes.
  • Smear the cake - the base with sour cream, whipped with sugar.
  • And lay the cubes on it in a pyramid, dipping them first in sour cream.
  • Sprinkle the entire structure with decorations to taste.

This recipe fell into my hands, and I don’t remember how many years ago from a package of bird cherry flour.
Since then I have tried many recipes with the use of bird cherry flour, but I have never met better than this for my taste and the taste of my family!
Although, undoubtedly, there are among the other recipes and very worthy!
On our forum there are also several recipes for cakes with bird cherry flour. But this one, old and simple, I have not met.
That is why I decided to show it to you in the hope that some of you, my dears, will find it useful!
