Ingredients

butter at room temperature 200 g
sugar 200 g
egg 3 pcs
wheat flour 450 g
salt pinch
baking powder 1/2 pack
lemon zest
milk 2 tbsp
FOR COMPOT: (I have an Austrian pumpkin-apple)
apples 2 Kg
sugar 1 tbsp
vanilla sugar packaging
water 3 tbsp

Cooking method

  • I used the "Austrian pumpkin-apple" compote, drained almost all the syrup from it and mashed it with a submersible blender. I put 600 grams of compote in the pie. In the original recipe, apparently, the compote is prepared with a surplus, since 2 kg is definitely a lot!
  • Cooking the dough.
  • Sift flour and mix with baking powder.
  • Beat the eggs with 100 g of sugar until the volume increases by 3-4 times.
  • Beat butter with 100 g of sugar until fluffy and whitening.
  • Mix egg and butter mixture, add flour and milk. The dough turns out to be thick, reminiscent of custard.
  • Spread 2/3 of the dough with your fingers on a baking sheet (but not over the entire size) or in a baking dish. The thickness of the dough is at least about 5 mm, it will increase 2.5 times. The dough does not stick, you can form the sides a little higher than the main mass.
  • Put the compote on the dough.
  • And put the remaining 1/3 of the dough into a pastry bag or bag and squeeze it over the compote with a mesh or pattern.
  • We bake in an oven preheated to 180C for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
