Anushapur

Ingredients

Dried apricots 200 g
Sugar 100 g
Water 400 g

Cooking method

  • Boil water.
  • Pour in prepared (thoroughly washed) dried apricots and sugar.
  • Cook for 20 - 25 minutes.
  • Serve cold.

Note

Anushapur is a dish of Armenian cuisine.
This is soup. But the soup is not simple, but sweet. Therefore, I ventured to attribute it to desserts. Not one festive feast in Armenia is complete without this dish.

It is simple and easy to prepare. But ... It turned out to be too sweet for me. With a clear conscience, the amount of sugar can be halved or even more.
I served Anushapur with ice cream. And it was really delicious.
I met recipes where onions fried in butter were added to anushapur. But I still did not dare to undertake such an experiment. Maybe someday I'll try.
