Zucchini pie

Ingredients

Zucchini 650 g
Flour 375 g
Margarine 5 tbsp. l
Salt 1 tsp
Cheese 150 g
Eggs 2 pcs.
Milk / cream 300 ml
Milk in dough 12-15 st. l
Vegetable oil for frying onions 1 tbsp. l
Bulb onions 1 PC. large
Flour in pouring 1 tbsp. l
Bitter pepper 1 heaped coffee spoon
Sugar 1 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp (10 g)
Dill, parsley, cilantro, etc. to taste (a lot!)

Cooking method

  • I cut cold margarine into a bread machine, added flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. The bread maker on the "Dough" program mixed to a coarse fraction. She poured 12 tablespoons of cold milk one by one (you may need a little more or less, control. You can probably also replace milk with an egg.). I placed the dough in a mold with high edges, laid it out in shape to get high sides, pulled a bag over the mold and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • I cut the onion into cubes, fried in hot vegetable oil, left to cool. (I did not dare to leave the pie without the aroma of fried onions, but, perhaps, it can be replaced with the aroma of smoked sausage or fried bacon.) Grated the zucchini on a coarse grater, salted, mixed, left to give juice, after a few minutes it drained, slightly squeezing the zucchini. Grated cheese on a coarse grater. Chopped the greens. I quickly mixed eggs, milk, flour and red hot pepper with a mixer, added fried onions, herbs, mixed well.
  • I put the form with the dough in a well-heated oven for 5 minutes. The middle "swelled" a little, pricking it with a fork. I laid out the zucchini, poured the filling, sprinkled with cheese, baked for 175 * 30 minutes.
  • To get this cake out of the mold, apparently, it is necessary to cool down, so that the filling "grabs". I hurried, and the top beautiful crust was "damaged" a little, so I put it back on the top and put the pie on the grill for 5 minutes.

  • Tasty, it smells like zucchini, delicate filling. The pungency is not enough, next time double the amount of pepper.
