Cooking method

  • This drink is called milk rather because of its white color. In fact, this is water, in which fine-fine flour from ground nuts remains.
  • Almond milk is a popular healthy drink native to India. Almonds contain a large amount of calcium, vitamins and trace elements. In almond milk, all these substances are contained in a dissolved form, and therefore are easily absorbed by the body. This is especially true for people who, for whatever reason, do not consume cow's milk.
  • 1 glass wash almonds and fill with water, leave overnight or at least 6-8 hours.
  • Drain the water in the morning and pour 3 more glasses of drinking water.
  • Grind with a blender until the liquid turns white and the almonds turn into fine grains. Strain the milk, and squeeze the cake thoroughly through cheesecloth. You can add some more water to the cake and grind again.
  • Filter the resulting mass through a fine sieve or cheesecloth. The milk is ready!
  • Almond milk turns out to be rather bland, so to improve the taste you can add honey, cinnamon or lemon juice.
  • Store almond milk in the refrigerator for no more than 3 days.
  • Shake well before use.
  • From the remaining cake you can make sweets, cookies, add to baked goods. And you can even use it as a scrub for you by adding oil and honey
