Strawberry lemonade with basil

Ingredients

Strawberry 500 g
basil leaves 40 g
granulated sugar 220 g
water 1.5 liters
1/2 lemon juice

Cooking method

  • Strawberry lemonade with basil
  • Dissolve granulated sugar in warm water. Cool down.
  • Strawberries (if frozen, defrost, keeping the juice) puree with a blender along with basil leaves.
  • Add water, juice of half a lemon, stir. If sugar is not enough, add powdered sugar to the drink to taste (it will dissolve better in cold water).
  • Put in the refrigerator and let the drink brew for 2-3 hours (left in the refrigerator overnight). Filter through a fine sieve.
  • Serve over ice. A very refreshing drink.
