Cooking method

You can put less sugar in the dough and not sprinkle the apples, but in the meringue 1/2 - it is not sweet anyway. Try it. I first beat some eggs without sugar, then added sugar. It turns out more with sugar. Then put in more proteins, otherwise there is not enough for the whole cake.

I had to bake longer, because the dough was wet, but in the end it was baked in an hour 10 minutes. She took it out, sprinkled cinnamon on the apples. It turned out just a great dessert, something like Egyptian pies, they also love everything sweet and with cinnamon. The children were very praised!

So I decided to try something like, but without meringue and with sour cream filling.
I added not two yolks to the dough, but 1 whole egg, again a spoonful of sourdough.
Pouring 1 cup sour cream 15% + 0.5 tbsp (cut 250 ml) sugar, vanillin on the tip of a knife, 1 egg 1 tbsp. l starch and 1 tbsp. l flour. Beat everything and pour over the cake. The oven time is the same. This is what happened (alas, the photo from the phone is not of the best quality) But the taste is insanely tasty. True, I had apples - "oak" seven, and in the dough it did not steam, therefore for such apples it is better to put them out beforehand.
