Semolina cake with honey and turmeric

Ingredients

Dough:
Wheat flour 1/2 tbsp.
Semolina 1.5 tbsp.
Salt pinch
Sugar 1/2 tbsp.
Cream 20% 1 tbsp.
Rast. oil 3 tbsp. l.
Liquid honey 1/2 tbsp.
Peeled pine nuts 1/2 tbsp.
Turmeric 1 tbsp. l.
Butter for greasing the mold
Baking powder 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • All dry foods (semolina, flour, baking powder, sugar, turmeric and salt) are mixed. Then slightly warmed cream, vegetable oil and honey are added to the mixture (if you do not have liquid honey, you don’t need to pull out the last hair on yourself. Just warm the existing one a little. It immediately ceases to be stone). Now mix everything thoroughly. Mix well. With a mixer or combine at medium speed (5-7 minutes). You can also manually, it just takes more time.
  • Now grease the mold with butter, sprinkle the bottom with nuts (for the most part, this is the future top of the cake - I generally forgot to do this, then I had to sprinkle it on top), pour the dough, sprinkle the other half of the nuts on top and bake for about 35 minutes at 170-180 degrees. For a long time I thought about the thought - and not to put the nuts directly into the dough, but I changed my mind. Pine nuts are very oily, they will start to melt, rather than roast, and will make the dough too heavy (as happens with walnuts).

In general, it tastes very curious. Something original, not hackneyed, of a cheerful yellow color, some African motives in taste. I liked it. The taste of turmeric and honey is well heard. Nuts (namely pine nuts) are very welcome. My husband really liked it. I didn't bother to upset him that the cake is made from semolina. He hates semolina since childhood.

To reduce sweetness, you need to remove sugar, honey does not sweeten as sugar. When I bake honey and carrot muffins, there is 360 g of honey (glass) and no sugar. They are moderately sweet.
