Ingredients

boiled eggs 8 pcs
cream 10% 3 tbsp. spoons
hard cheese 150g
green bell pepper 1 PC
medium onion 1 PC
butter 1 tbsp. the spoon
canned tomatoes. in pieces 500 g
parsley
salt
pepper

Cooking method

  • Peel the eggs, cut them lengthwise into 2 parts, separate the yolk and mash it with a fork, add 1/2 part of the finely grated cheese, cream, salt and pepper. Fill the egg whites with the resulting filling. Place eggs in a baking dish.
  • Cut the pepper and onion into small cubes and fry until almost cooked in butter. Put tomatoes and juice in a pan with vegetables. Bring to a boil, cook until the liquid has evaporated by two thirds of the volume. Pour eggs with this sauce, sprinkle with the remaining cheese on top. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle with finely chopped parsley. Serve with rice.

What can I say? For as long as I can remember, we have been eating an unpretentious vegetable dish for so long: fry the onion in half rings in vegetable oil, add bell pepper cut into the same half rings, simmer the peppers until soft, add chopped peeled tomatoes and fill it all with several eggs beaten with a fork. Salt pepper. Everything, no cream, expensive cheeses. I think the original version and the Cuban recipe should have fresh tomatoes. Tell me, why would they canned tomatoes?
As a result, externally, the dishes differ only in that in one dish eggs, beaten with a fork, in the other are boiled. And the taste is almost the same. In any case, I did not feel the taste of cheese And you cannot see it in the picture
And I cooked this dish only because a certain number of eggs formed in the house, which needed to be attached somewhere, and the mailing list helpfully adjusted the recipe.
I cannot say that it is not tasty. But also nothing special
