Cooking method

  • I found a gorgeous recipe on the Internet a long time ago, unfortunately, I didn't keep the link, I don't remember the author. Many thanks to the author for the amazing recipe! In our family, he has become one of the most beloved! Delicate, light, sooo delicious!
  • Cakes:
  • So, mix all the ingredients with the exception of flour and put them in a water bath.
  • Ginger cake
  • The mass should become homogeneous. Boil until a light foamy mass, then remove from the bath. (not very visible in the photo, but still)

  • And then add 5 cups of flour, and knead well!

  • The dough will be soft and sticky to your hands! Do not be alarmed, it should be so! Send the dough to the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes, then you can work with it! I roll as thin as possible. I bake on convection at a temperature of 195-200 degrees C.
  • Cream:
  • Whip sour cream and cream (sugar to taste) and grease the cakes! The cream can be varied, this one is my favorite! Grease the cakes and let them soak. And enjoy a delicious cake!

She made it with sour cream, walnuts and prunes.
From a full serving, I got 11 cakes and another small one from scraps. The cakes were cut from raw dough with a diameter of 26.5 cm. After baking, the cakes are hard. After assembling the cake, I had one cake left and lay for about a week. So his taste became richer, and the cake itself became softer. I even thought: "Can I use this dough for gingerbread?"
